Anyone ever had one of these? How much does it the double overclock send it into and how many months does it last before it burns out?
I was also looking at a xeon for 1/3 of the price, but they're always slower compared to the normal thing. Plus anything below 12MB cache is not worth it.

just buy x5470
I clocked mine to 4.1ghz and it has been rock solid stable for more than year
>>59272318
I've always been curious about those chips
what motherboard will you be using? i have a x5460 clocked at 4ghz
>download 1 apk
>launch
>bypasses vendor locks etc

done.
but no, 2017 and you still need to fucking bother with forums/youtube videos. WTF???
>>59272265
First downloading an apk that must be botnet
Two what ROM you want ?
Three is comunity based projects things so you will always have forums and YouTube videos
>>59272265
>download 1 apk
Why?
>bypasses vendor locks etc
recquires wipe and atleast 1 reboot.
>gives you options what rom you can download and install
implying there is a database like that somewhere. Implying it won't force unhealthy competition to be in that database.
>also shows you whats most popular.
If you don't inform yourself beforehand, you shouldn't install a rom.
>>59272265
>download 1 apk
>but its not what you think it is
>bypasses vendor locks etc
>infiltrates your system at the lowest level possible
>also gives you options what rom you can download and install
done being a chinese botnet.
now did you understand why you need to trash your phone if its rootable by a single apk?
Hi /g/,
I'm considering about buying a Xiaomi MiBand 2, but i am worried about data that this device produces. Is possible to force data processing in local or these data will be sent to xiaomi server?
Sorry for my english, not my native language.
>>59272252
You should look how the xiaomi app work
And
Like if is compatible with other apps
Maybe i will buy one too

Nice retro hipster shit but it don't sync with my xiaomi

Do you feel better after shitposting this, OP?
Linus literally is the best living programmer.

That's not his job

That stupid nigger didn't even wrote compiler.
Is there something like Word but lightweight, portable and free?
Basically something like Abiword, but that doesn't suck and isn't abandonware.
>>59272217
libreoffice / openoffice
or use a text editor
>>59272243
>libreoffice / openoffice
Too slow and bloated.
>text editor
Too limited at formatting. I don't need much at all, but making some text bigger or italic would be nice.
Wordpad would kinda fit the bill too, but the UI sucks and the way it scrolls triggers my autism.
>>59272217
free... hmmm, bean for os x (http://www.bean-osx.com/Bean.html) is the closest i've ever seen to what you're asking for (free, portable, lightweight, doesn't suck, like ms word). on lignux it's either abiword or libreoffice. on windows it's either abiword or libreoffice.

Why do people like 'phablets'?
They are unwieldy unless you're 6'5. You can't do anything nearly as quickly on them as you can a regular sized phone. They aren't as portable.
Jesus get a fucking tablet and stop making manufacturers make these things because of demand.

I hope they come up with something for Ryzen 5, they destroyed the 8 core market, but to gain market share, they'll eventually have to concentrate on IPC performance.
Fact: Price/performance ratio of ryzen is really bad for gaming. Period.
>>59271926
Unless R5 is amazing for OCing, which I don't believe it will be, Ryzen r5 will be budget version of intel's offering, little worse, little cheaper.
All in all it's a great time to be a PC gamer
IPC is good. They need higher clocks
>>59272342
without LN2 cooling they simply can't
the think has a tjmax of 70C
Desktop or laptop?
>>59271925
I recognize this drawing. To answer your question, desktops are more powerful, more modular and cheaper. Laptops are only worth it if you need a computer on the go.
>>59272452
Actually laptops are if you need to do low-performance programs on the go and browse the web (ex:shitposting).
Desktops are for the real work.
this scares me gee

So, I've been thinking about how much computer technology has really advanced and how we do not recognize it's full potential. I mean, take a look on something like Raspberry Pi. It's considered something like a geek's toy, but really if someone had it in the late 90's he would be blown away with what this little board can do for that price. Yet alone something like a smartphone.
I think there are many, many ways to enhance our natural abilities with this tech. First thing I can think of is to take a pair of canalphones (earbuds that also isolate outside noise), connect it to a pair of high-quality compact microphones via some kind of board (maybe even Raspberry Pi) and configure software to automatically control audio levels (for example, normalize sound volume to protect you from loud noise like in a subway and allow you to hear some quite sounds more clearly) and add some extra functionality, like "repeat last 10 seconds of recorded audio", plus allow external audio input like your phone so you can listen to music and everything around you simultaneously. Maybe it's very silly, but I think it could be great.
What do you think? Do you have any ideas?
Use something smaller
