hi, i'm from /ic/ because the sticky said to come here for drawing tablet questions.

i have a huion 1060 pro and i'm not really happy with it. maybe it's the drivers/software, but it seems to lag in photoshop cs6 (will more often than not draw a small segment of a line completely straight) and paint tool sai. sometimes doesn't respond at all for a few seconds. also stuck with cursor position being relative rather than absolute (active surface scaled to screen).

i don't really know how to fix this and i had a wacom bamboo before and never had a problem, so i'm thinking of just dropping money on a new intuos tablet entirely.

is the intuos line my best bet? or does anyone have any idea how to fix this ching chong shit?

also, why the fuck do screen tablets cost so much if they're basically just touch tablets with more sensitivity levels and come bundled with a pen?

thanks.

Any medium sized or greater wacom

I'm tired of giving out non wacom reccomendations. Ive tried them myself and they're usually. shit. My old dusty ass bamboo has never ever had a problem. yet all of my friends stuff has issues all over the damn place

just get a wacom, they're just simply the best you can get. I have a screen tablet(cintiq) myself, yeah, they're expensive but well worth the money. The intuos I have I bought back in 2012, and have used it every day since, its a bit worn, but still works great.

> "It's only good for workstations" le meme
Stop repeating that stupid meme, it's not good for Workstations either in most cases. Only for 1% of the time you ever use a computer you leave it the fuck alone to render something. For 99% of the time, you will be actually using the computer in an interactive manner and interactivity can not be parallelized well on CPU space.
Let alone if you knew anything about computers you'd know most of the parallelism nowadays is done by GPUs, NOT CPUs, and that notion might become even MORE prevalent, NOT less with the newest GPU APIs that offload even more and more stuff from the CPU space to the GPU space even if they claim to help more at multithreading *but that is not their main advantage, the batch commands are.

Rizen is shit, my 3930k which I bought in 2010 for less than what rizen costs now is just as powerful. Mind you it now goes for about $140 on eBay, 1/3 of the top of the line rizen CPU.

Kek. This is actually very possible.

Apparently there is a LOT of software out there which just checks whether the wangblows version starts with a 9 (Win 95/98) instead of checking the complete version name, so calling it 9 would have probably fucked everything up even more

How come everyone seems to have i5 2500Ks but hardly anyone with an i7 2600K or 2700K?
We're the i7s not that good or something?
33 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>59279543
I think it's considered a good value for money processor. A lot of people liked the 2500k because it could be pushed a bit past stock comfortably and wasn't a bottleneck for most users for many years.
It's also fairly reliable, which is probably why it was so highly recommended.

Thoughts /g/?
>>
>>59279543
I bought a i5 at the time because it was like 180 bucks and the i7 was closer to 300 without that much of an increase in utility. this was a couple years ago.
>>
>>59279543
barely any multithread support in games made anything beyond 4 cores a waste. even now there's almost no difference between an OC'd i5 7/6600k and the i7.

>>

No. I just lock it and turn off the screen. There's no point in turning it off. I'm too lazy to wait to get work done.

I also don't turn off my PS4, I just pause and turn off TV.
>inb4 overheat
I had it for 2 years and never overheated.
>>
No.
I don't pay the power bill :)
>>
I turn it off every day right before I go to sleep, even un-plug the cable from the socket because I don't want the PC to burn up or something.
Although I am overreacting on that part, even with my monitor. I think I do it because I let the guy rest a bit and leaving it connected serves no purpose.
