What difference do the difference microphone arrangements make, if any? Are there any advantages to one or the other?
Thanks for the help.

i'm an audio engineer for classical music
it all depends on what you're after; the x-y layout on the left of your image creates a very tight stereo soundstage, ie. the difference of a subject being far left or far right isn't too audible, but with a setup on the right you get a much larger stereo image.
what are you trying to record?
>>59290559
>stereo image
I'm not too familiar with this term, could you elaborate?
I want one for two purposes, one, to record my cat, this would be at a very close range, two, is to record me speaking. Thanks.

So it's like a JVM in your browser? ... Why didn't they do this before instead of JavaScript?
WebAssembly High-Level Goals
- Portable, size and load time efficient binary format
- Compilation target which can execute at native speed by taking advantage of common hardware capabilities available on a wide range of platforms, including mobile and IoT
- Implement a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of the standard
- Key features like threads, zero cost exceptions, and SIMD
- Additional features prioritized by feedback and experience including support for languages other than C/C++
- Integrate well with the existing Web platform
- Backwards-compatible evolution
- Same semantic universe as JavaScript
- Synchronous calls to and from JavaScript
- Same-origin and permissions security policies
- Browser functionality through the same Web APIs that are accessible to JavaScript
- View Source functionality
- New LLVM backend for WebAssembly and an accompanying clang port
Probably the best high-level goal they have is the

Yes, good developers use whatever works and get on with the programming. Torvalds uses Fedora, and tons of others use Ubuntu. Both are "just werks" distros with well configured font rendering and whatnot.

I partially agree. Unlocking the bootloader and flashing custom kernels, recoveries, and operating systems is half the fun of Android. Also, Google services combined with bad modem isolation are the parts of Android devices that are used to spy on users. I haven't been able to find evidence of bad modem isolation in any Nexus phone that I've owned (4-6P). So that leaves deeply integrated Google services as the main buttnet component, and I personally have no reason to distrust the LG low level bootloaders and Qualcomm secondary bootloader. Flashing a new recovery and OS is your best shot at have a free as in freedom smartmeme.
Also no one should use iShit. A false sense of security is far worse than no security at all.

I've got about 500$, currently have a 390x, paired with a 6700k for what it's worth. No point in upgrading, right?
>get MacBook second-hand from 2008
>HDD was wiped, boots into Recovery
>Recovery requires an Apple ID to install Lion because the Recovery doesn't have the installation files
>Apple ID needs to have been used once with iTunes or another Mac first
>installation files require association of Lion with Apple ID
>can't do Internet Recovery (Mac too old)
>need to go to a fucking Apple store or have the previous owner provide me with installation media for Lion
Applel: it just werks(TM)
>steal laptop with password

Install another OS on it.
I doubt the owner has the installation media since Macbooks and prebuilt computers do not come with the media separate. If you really want MacOs you will have to pay for it.
