Are pmps just pocket fedoras? I really wanted this for like podcasts and long mixes but everyone at the gym told me I was crazy for not using my phone
>>62209643
the pmps /g/ use are not even worthy of being called pocket fedoras.
If you want to show off, just buy A&K stuff

Yes.

Do you actually redeem mail in rebates? Could someone get away with scanning the UPC side of the box if they sent in a letter complaining that they lost the first package you sent?
>>62209460
>>62209460
>mail in rebates
i never heard of this so https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebate_(marketing)
fascinating the schemes that emmerge on the "land of freedom", freedom to falsely advertise a pricertag that is
>>62209460
The whole thing is a genius marketing strategy, really
They can legally use them to offer what seems like a lower price, because "After purchase, you can receive a (some random amount like $20) mail in rebate!" and people will buy it and then not actually care enough to go through and receive the mail in rebate because they don't think its worth the trouble

I'm good, thanks. I have no use for a tablet, and my Sony MDR XB 450s that I got on clearance for 15 bucks is plenty fine for music.
Why do speakers still use analog cables to transmit digital source audio data and constantly have to deal with noise and interference? Seriously, even at a 192kHz sampling rate (which is way overkill) at 32bit depth (which is also overkill) the overall bitrate is just 5.86Mbit/s. Even USB 1.1 cables could transmit that. And at normal encoding rates of 24bits@48kHz, the resulting bitrate of 1.1Mb/s could be done by USB 1.0. We don't transmit video data with composite wires anymore so what the fuck is the hold up with audio?
There is literally no reason why we haven't all switched to optic cables. It would literally be less components to make a speaker cause you wouldn't need a DAC.
Wtf companies.
Who fucking cares? I have moderate tinnitus that doesn't go away.
>>62209457
Because 24bit/196khz is nothing but snake oil.
You fell for the audiophile meme.
How come strings are immutable in Java?
>>62209370
they aren't immutable always.
for instance certain string concatenations in looping constructs are usually "optimized" to StringBuilder's
String is immutable because you don't want people fucking with the value of strings in the various places a string could be passed around in. also because of how Java handles storing strings for memory and performance reasons.
faster something something
>be java
>have two different kinds of strings
>mutable one has to be garbage collected (who knows when that will be)
>gotta make a mutable one to make a non mutable one
>find out it doesn't really matter because processors aren't shit anymore
the state of java
>>62209370
Anything that isn't a primitive type should be immutable honestly.
Do I do it bros? Price is in Canadian.

Switching back over to Linux after I realize there are no games I can play on Windows that I can't play on Linux, after about 2 months:
>hear good things about KDE Plasma
>looks attractive, clean
>install Kubuntu, update and install Nvidia drivers
>dpi=2, looks like shit
>error messages everywhere, everything keeps fucking breaking
>have to get up and power off the computer from the power switch because shutdown manager would NOT start
>install Lubuntu, do the same
>everything just werks
Is KDE just a big fucking joke or what?
>sort applications by name
>everything listed in "K"
pretty sure it's always been a joke
>>62209136
despite what everyone tells you, KDE is a piece of shit DE
>>62209136
>Kubuntu
There's your mistake. Either use Arch or KDE Neon
>Computer turns itself on in the middle of the night
I thought this was a joke but it happened to me last night.
>Watching animu in bed
>Getting sleepy, decide to go to sleep
>Win10
>Downloaded updates while I was watching my 2d waifu
>Need to shut down pc but windows wants to "Install updates and shut down"
>No
>Hold power button for 3 seconds to force computer off
>Computer goes off
>Give the mouse a wiggle and press a few buttons on kb to make sure it isn't just sleeping
>It's off
>Go to sleep
>Wake up in the middle of the night to the computer on the login screen
>Not only did the computer turn itself on, it also installed the updates
Should I be worried?
>>62209088
>Win10
Yes, you should see a doctor about that.
I hear they recommend castration/sterilization as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of your retardation.

>You can't remove the Google account from your device unless you know the password
>They changed the password
>They cannot login from a new device because you have the 2FA device
>You cannot login to your account because you don't know the password but now your device with 2FA on it is locked remotely via your Google account
Why did nobody consider this a flaw?
Additionally;
Hijack email account, setup POP3 client for the email account > Have access to their emails indefinitely regardless if they change their password or enable 2FA
Yeah let me just pull a browser 0day arbitrary code execution flaw out of my ass

They are incredibly common granted the victim isn't suppressing scripts which by the way 99% of users who run adblocker don't run any script restrictions. DNS poisoning is relatively easy, enough to redirect thousands if not potentially millions of users from a popular site to a malicious one.
