Hello i have a ps4 pro sitting directly under the tv between the stands and was wondering if the heat of the ps4 could cause backlight bleed on the tv?

I want to own a black MacBook some day, just to have one.
>>59366993
but why?
My browser has a few server certificates that I'm quite sure I never added myself, since I never store security exceptions permanently.
Is this normal Y/N?

>>59366927
yes they come with firefox
>>59368527
Do you have them too? I knew that Firefox shipped with root CA certificates (and we want that) but I'm surprised it comes with some server certificates too (and I don't see why it does).

If marijuana is legal they should have no problems with you smoking.

Ok, so this is probably the bumbest question you'll see today, but the bleeding Safe removal tool in the taskbar is gone and when I open the tool itself via Run it says the drive cannot be ejected, at all (not that it's in use, mind you).
This seems to have happened when I made my account a standard user rather than admin, and the admin account gives me access to eject.
I have:
Another computer where the standard user can eject drives
Made sure "Quick removal" is activated for the drive
Made sure all user accounts (admin or otherwise) have all access to the drive itself
Anyone know what's up?

- Shutdown PC to prevent data loss. Windows will unmount the drive on shutdown.
- Remove zip disquette
- Install GNU/Linux distro of choice so you never have to deal with this shit ever again.

Hey /g/, what's good about m.2 drives? I'm looking at purchasing a 1tb solid state. Either sata or m.2, both options for me are Sandisk models at $260. I've read about m.2 being problematic as a boot drive, should I just stick with sata or will I see any gain with an m.2?
Gonna be my primary disk in my pc, I'll have no other drives in it. Here's my current guts, moving to a nano S soon. Just deciding what to do for my drive.
>>59366073
Forgot to add on my motherboard I'm getting, the m.2 slot uses bandwidth from sata_3 and disables sata_3 from being used.
update the bios
make sure bios date is newer than the release date of ssd

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine.
1) Use a live image and to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

Can someone explain why the kernel refuses to keep the resolution I set for grub?
I'm trying out qemu+kvm, using Arch as both host and guest.
Both are up to date.
Here's the relevant part of my /etc/default/grub on the guest:...
# Uncomment to use basic console
# GRUB_TERMINAL_INPUT=console
# Uncomment to disable graphical terminal
# GRUB_TERMINAL_OUTPUT=console
# The resolution used on graphical terminal
# note that you can use only modes which your graphic card supports via VBE
# you can see them in real GRUB with the command `vbeinfo'
GRUB_GFXMODE=800x600x32
# Uncomment to allow the kernel use the same resolution used by grub
# GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=keep
GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=800x600x32
...
When I use virtio as the gfx option for qemu, the resolution always drops to 640x480 when the kernel is loaded.
When I use std, it always becomes 1024x768.
As you can from my grub file, the resolution should be 800x600 (I've checked vbeinfo and it is listed).

With ryzen release, intel seems to be dropping prices. I was going to make a ryzen build. Can't trust all of these stupid performance benchmarks on ryzen because bios/chipsets/windows schedulers/compiler optimizations/reviewer shilling. But the intel price drops make it pretty damn tempting to make a known good kaby lake build even though I'd rather back amd.
What do you think /g/
>>59365917
>intel seems to be dropping prices
Intel hasn't dropped prices a cent sadly. They don't give a shit about Ryzen because Ryzen is no competition whatsoever.
Well you're right, *intel* hasn't dropped them, but some retailers are dropping the prices on intel parts somewhat coincidentally with ryzen's availability. Same effect though.
>>59365917
Pick what ever better suits your needs, if you don't do something heavily thread-dependent and you are ok with only four physical cores - go with mainstream platform. Or you can wait for r3/r5 and decide from there. If you need more physical cores, wait for skylake-x (or skylake-e or kabylake-x or w/e intel will call their next lineup) and go from there.
