looking for some answers from you /gents

So after pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my GPU is downclocking itself this seems to be a 5+ year old problem that AMD still hasnt fixed.
ive tried turning off every form of hardware acceleration, ive tried playing my games with no background apps, ive tried fresh installing windows 10, ive tried afterburner, ive tried clockblocker. and too no avail once this bug kicks in i have to restart the game im playing and PRAY it doesnt kick back in.
here are some screens of my GPU basically fighting with itself trying to decide which state to be on and constantly fluctuating giving constantly dropping my fps. AMD is basically ignoring this issue since ive found multiple threads on their forums with no answer.

TLDR; AMD cards downclocking themselves to save power during gameplay, 5+year old bug still isnt fixed.

I have HD 6570, never had that issue under any OS.
Idk, try returning it. Could be a bad card.

Have you tried different driver versions?

get cucked.

I have a AMD Radeon graphics card which may be not supported by Ubuntu 16.04.
What should I do? Will upgrading to Ubuntu 16.10 or downgrading to 14.04 solve the issue? If yes, will it work as good as the graphics card works on Windows? Also will have to configure my computer or will the system work perfectly after upgrading or downgrading?

Am I damaging my computer by not using a OS supporting the graphics card?
Also my laptop takes like ~50 seconds to boot? Is that because of the incompatible graphics card?

is using openWRT less safe than using some producer original router linux based software with closed source?

I mean, statistically there is higher chance that somebody will hack into router with openWRT than in some closed source router?

radeon HD series' opensource drivers are good

if you want steam need to run it this way at least once:

1.make text document

2.
#!/bin/bash
export LD_PRELOAD='/usr/$LIB/libstdc++.so.6'
export DISPLAY=:0
#export LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose
steam
3. make it executable
4. run it via terminal

Let steam download its shit after that steam should work just fine without this executable

The autists at Reddit got a petition for AMD to release the source-code for their PSP.

https://www.change.org/p/advanced-micro-devices-amd-release-the-source-code-for-the-secure-processor-psp

> In layman's terms, AMD's PSP (aka, AMD Secure Processor) and Intel's equivalent technology, IME (Intel Management Engine) are essentially small independent Co-Processor's (CPU's) contained within all modern x86 based Desktop and Laptops. Intel's is built into the motherboard, while AMD's is inside the main CPU itself.

Releasing the source is a good start.

However, we also need a way to change the contents of the code that the PSP runs if we want to be able to address exploits.

I wish they'd just give us a way to turn off PSP / IME.

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called Linux, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called Linux distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux!

No, that piss poor piece of software is fortunately almost dead.

Smartphones finally murdered it. I'm grateful to them for that. The standard HTTP + JS way or everything else that can be done is much better.

My friend and I have a dropbox between us where we keep all our webms, wallpapers, political stuff, music, resources, etc. It essentially works like a private imageboard between us, if that makes sense?

Anyway, the costs of maintaining this constantly growing dropbox is getting higher every year. Is there a better, cheaper (free, even) method out there for file sharing? Need to be able to save: pictures, text documents, webms, gifs, audio files, video files.

Thanks in advance

Hey /g/, I'm looking to finally start working on my degree, but I don't know whether or not I want to do comp sci or information technology.

I've been in the field as a network admin for about three years and like doing administration / O&M type stuff... basically not a developer.

Comp sci seems to be in demand, but the math requirements freak me out. I've been out of school for almost five years and I didn't retain much math stuff.

Information technology doesn't seem to be as in demand (not that I've seen in the D.C. area anyway). Am I not looking hard enough?

Computer science is great IT is great, but honestly what you get out of either degree is what you make of it.
>>
>>59382069

You can do the math, anon. You just have to take it slow and literally read what the paper gives you. If that doesnt work, give the basics the same treatment and start from there.

I went from a D in calc II to A's in Calc II, Calc III, DiffEq, LA, AA. Well scratch that got a B in AA from this machine learning polish kike but he had it out for me
>>
>>59382069
