>It appears as though Telegram will launch call functionality in the near future, possibly in the next update. Screenshots distributed online reveal quite a bit about the things users can control with Telegram calls.

>The first notable call setting is the ability to control just who can call you. Because Telegram allows you to connect with strangers via usernames - unlike WhatsApp which requires you to share a phone number - Telegram users may not want everyone to be able to ring them. Users can either allow everyone to call them, permit calls only from those on their contact lists, or simply block all incoming calls. There is also an option for blocking individual users from calling.

>The other notable aspect to Telegram calls is the ability to verify that a call is encrypted. Telegram generates an image and text string which can be compared with the image and text generated on the other user’s device. If they’re the same then end-to-end encryption is guaranteed.

>The calling functionality can be tested by Android users running the latest beta release of Telegram. The menu item to make calls is hidden by default but following this guide (Telegram required) will detail how to enable calls that you can experiment with on a test server.

Is this going to trigger a lot of people on /g/ since so many of you have crippling social anxiety and would rather communicate with another human being via text?

Google is developing new ways to censor the public discourse through the guise of "toxicity."

http://www.perspectiveapi.com

Also I got this to be only a 7%

"Gas the kikes. Love everyone, Peace on earth. Global warming is real, I love the lord, One love, Peace be upon you. Respectful dialogue. Can we every truly be free when (((they))) rule over us? Don't hurt anyone, Don't spread hate. I think we need to stop this toxic culture. A free people cannot be governed by a (((small group of powerful individuals))) we must free ourselves, our friends, and our families. (((They))) fund both sides of every conflict, the (((central banks))) expand their grips on nearly every western power, through fiat currency and the petrol dollar"

You pretend to play war with your "favorite company" like school children and don't realize you are being played. All those three hog the GPU and CPU patents for decades. They don't let anyone in unless they pay gigantic fees.

http://seekingalpha.com/article/4042991-intel-amd-join-forces

The best proof is that EVEN AMONGST THEMSELVES they do the same. In order for any of the three to use anything the other did, they kiss ass to each other.

If Samsung or other big players were allowed to use Desktop IP/Patents freely (both x86_64 and latest discreet GPUs included) you'd see prices like 50% lower.

Stop being played.

Oh woow, corporations are using the laws that goverments so kindly provide for them to their advantage.

You know who's playing you? It's not Intel, it's not Nvidia and it's not AMD. It's the fucking government who enforce and write patent laws. If patents and copyright didn't exist, this wouldn't be a problem but I bet you'll start whinging and be like "teh starving artists" whenever someone brings that up.

how did he live without KABY ALLMIGHTY LAKE before, a mystery

Thinking the same OP going from 2600, at 3.9 it draws ~200w though, slightly less than kaby at 5Ghz still a ton.
Waiting for a better memory support, and motherboards in large, not a single board here in sight, 1700 also sold out though without boards.

because its sold out errywhere in germany.

i need a new computer fast, and i'm like 2 Intel shillposts away of pulling the trigger on a 7700k.

Yeah, I've had a few folks ask me if they should get 32 GB. Honestly, you won't use even 16 GB for anything currently. It would take heavy multitasking or ridiculous bullshit to get close to needing 32 GB.

Media creation and production can make use of more RAM, but I can't think of a thing in the standard user's toolbox that would need it.

A hacker is someone who enjoys playful cleverness - not necessarily with computers. The programmers in the old MIT free software community of the 60s and 70s referred to themselves as hackers. Around 1980, journalists who discovered the hacker community mistakenly took the term to mean "security breaker." Please don't spread this mistake. People who break security are "crackers."

reposting my question again because i need advice:

How long would it take for Asian botnets to shit up traffic on a self-hosted server? I'm currently getting a ~2012 Dell Inspiron, which I then plan on undervolting and underclocking to make it become a server.

This server would host a single static website that would link to other websites (ex. itch.io, Youtube, Twitter, Codeplex, Bandcamp), with some small links to other sites. If some botnet spammers were paid on Fiverr to spam my (theoretical as of now) website, could my underclocked Pentium bear the brunt of that stress?
The website below is almost what I've got in mind, albeit with several more links on the divider:

Is this a good choice for a storage drive? Is it rational of me to be totally put off by the negative reviews making think it's a high risk? There doesn't seem to be any Hard drives, high capacity ones at least, that don't have a full 5 or even 4.5 star rating.

For some reason, I always weigh the negative reviews like 3 or 4 times heavier than the positive ones. Is this normal? Are all hard drives essentially just a blind crapshoot?
