No. It's a huge distraction.
Install Ubuntu or another polished distro and start programming right away.

Post your component list, rate other anons', and ask questions in general.

Always state the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA.
If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to lower price or to improve specs or build quality.

Assemble your parts list; built-in price comparisons by vendor and a compatibility filter.

I am currently trying to build libreboot from source and failing really hard.
I follow this guide:
https://libreboot.org/docs/git/

So first I downloaded the libreboot_util.tar.xz file and extracted it and switched into the folder.
I ran
>./build dependencies trisquel7 (there where no debian dependencies although the instructions say so)
the dependencies were installed.
Next I run:
>./build roms withgrub x200_8mb
and it gives me an error message:
>Makefile.inc:517: util/crossgcc/Makefile.inc: No such file or directory
>make: *** No rule to make target 'util/crossgcc/Makefile.inc'. Stop.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have this WD external drive which is 500gb, I was backing some files on it and I did not safely remove it (just pulled the USB cable out after removing which I normally do.. flame me already I know)
The next day, I was going to transfer some files, plugged it in, clicked on it via My Computer and whenever I do it just freezes the whole of Windows Explorer and takes forever to respond before resetting as if I just plugged it in.

Now I cannot access the files
How do I fix this shit now /g/

If you have a year experience in something like customer service sometimes those help desk positions find that preferable to a year of computer repair experience.

Why have all this bullshit when all you need is a superior machine with a superior OS and build quality paired with a huge monitor?

THIS is what a real setup looks like. Literally the only thing missing from this picture is an iPhone

Do you think more people are gonna get into cybersecurity for real after watching stuff like Mr Robot?

There's a reason they don't showcase actual hacking in TV shows and movies: it's fucking boring to watch.
