Noobuntu aka Babbies first Ganoo/Loonux.

Install it you fucking retards. It's date +%Y. Microsoft went full botnet, the NSA full spying, the CIA full cracking. It's time to reclaim your computer and to switch to GNU/Linux.

>How to install Noobuntu?
Follow a friendly, graphical install wizard.

>I don't know how to terminal!
You don't need to touch the terminal ever (but you will try and learn to love it)

>But muh games.
Check out the thousands of games steam supports.

There is no excuse not to switch, but quadrillions reasons for getting rid of the pile of shit Windows and macOS is.

It keeps popping up error messages, that's why I prefer Solus.

>Check out the thousands of games steam supports.

At subpar performance as some of us who actually tried have been telling you since ever >>59390723 . Also a game being available on Steam for GNU/Linux doesn't mean that it will install smoothly; most of them require you to troubleshoot stuff for it to merely boot, and some others have no sound or glitches and you have to fix stuff too. Out of my 50ish Steam games only like 7 installed and ran properly; this is a separate issue from the performance thing. No matter how you look at it, all the software that people care about is on Windows; GNU/Linux only has unoptimized ports or poor imitations.

Solus isn't fast. Solus isn't bleeding edge. Solus isn't stable. Solus doesn't have even half the stuff in its repos as a real operating system.

At least not being a hack up of some other distro is good, rolling release is good too.

Does any Linux distro come with non-free or contrib packages as standard?

Also, botnet/Linux general.
11 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>59436850

This is a question that doesn't deserve its own thread, also it would be easy to answer by yourself since you only need to find one counterexample. There are also GNU/Linux generals. I won't enable shitposters like you, learn to use the board properly kid.
>>
>>59437011

>since you only need to find one counterexample

Sure, the thread asked for 'does any', which implies one distro. Let me rephrase as "which Linux distros". That's a better question, and is actually what I meant. Apologies that it ired you, I should have posted a better OP.

>Unironically calling Windows "PC"
's OK to use the abbreviation “PC” to refer to a certain kind of computer hardware, but please don't use it with the implication that the computer is running Microsoft Windows. If you install GNU/Linux on the same computer, it is still a PC.

The term “WC” has been suggested for a computer running Windows.

Why is one 4 core part 8MB of L3? That makes no sense, having 2+2 but disabling cache in one CCX-
>>
>>59436690
They'd disable half the cache per CCX otherwise one CCX wouldn't work.

The fact that the 4c/8t version will be 2+2 and not 4+0 is a bit shit. Shame really.

I've been having this problem with fiddler which I think is a quick fix but have no idea. Long story short, stuff is supposed to be showing up in the box to the right and nothing is. I have no idea why.

If this isn't a quick fix just let me know and I guess I'll drop it. I'm just so close to this and have no idea why it isn't working.

Why is everyone learning programming? I mean what can you do with it if you aren't working for a corporation? Everything is either out there online in an existing library or can be outsourced to India for pennies.
Serious question.

I'm getting a dual AAS in both computer security systems and network management. Every now and then I look at job offers on monster, indeed, etc. and they all say a bachelor's and 4 years experience is required, as well as some specific specializations.

I keep thinking I might be making a mistake but for a technical field I just saw no reason to spend 4 years and a lot of money for 4 years worth of study. Should I continue what I'm doing and get my compTIA certs? Is there anybody here that has had relative success without a bachelor's?

>>
I had zero experience and pretty much walked into a job when I graduated with Information Systems, not even a technical degree but a business degree and I don't even use it, it's a 100% technical job. I guess it all depends on your area and demand, I'm in Atlanta and there is a massive market for tech jobs here.
