Update on CIA #Vault7 "zero day" software vulnerabilities Ref: https://wikileaks.org/ciav7p1
Reminder that Firefox is the most secure browser
>>59459640
Using chrome derivatives is the same as running proprietary code on your machine. Anyone who uses browsers other than firefox derivates didn't got the point.
>>59459640
America fuck yeah
>>59459640
>implying they can't find 0 day vulnerabilities in firefox
>implying any browser is "secure"
Will single board computers ever be good?
They already are, anon.
>>59459678
Smartphones are (mostly) locked down shit tho
>>59459693
Its a computer in your fucking pocket that does nearly everything a consumer could want to do with a computer.
Being locked down shit is irrelevant to most of us because we actually have lives and people who care about us enough to call.
Unironically
Kill
You're
Self.
how can I build a processor?
>>59459579
How many digits are there in your bank balance?
Solder
>>59459579
You can implement a microprocessor on an FPGA, but it would probably be pretty fucking shit.
Then you have to issue with how you're going to build an FPGA.
Probably the worst mouse I ever had. Heavy as fuck, too small for my average sized hands and just so cheaply made. The scroll wheel is actually even worse than on the g400. In free spin mode it bounces left and right if you move the mouse. God, how can they put such a high price tag on this crap. My g400 is miles better for office use.
I love it
I love it too.
I love sucking dick
I want to install a few programs at my work computer, but I don't have administrator access.
Just some simple image editing software or like sublime text 3, etc...
How do I go about this?
Is it possible to take out the harddrive and put it into my PC and install it there? I don't know if that would work.
Or I do have a spare 2.5" laptop HDD, if I plug that into my work PC with the program preinstalled, would that work?
>>59459520
Portable on a thumb drive, you can hide it up your asshole like in pic related?
Bump
>>59459566
I've tried to install on a thumb drive formatted to NTFS, and tried to run the program on the work PC, still doesn't work, even if I put it up my ass.
What are you working on, /g/?
Old thread: >>59446947
First for anime.
Rewrite most of NASA's codebase in Haskell.
>>59459347
Thanks for anime image.
>torrenting a few shows onto external drive
>watching a movie off of same drive
>movie freezes
>torrent error
>drive no longer reads
the last two times this happened, i uninstalled and reinstalled the media player, but i switched to a different one and now this trick isn't working. pc isn't even shutting down properly. aside from chucking all of my hardware into the street, what should i do?

(to your pic)
Les miserables is a great movie
I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone that Windows XP is STILL getting updates, it even had a bunch of security updates 4 DAYS ago.
>But anon, that's POSReady 2009.
It's Windows XP. Same kernel, simply different preloaded programs and configurations (which can be easily edited through Group Policy Editor, and even then any changes you may want to make are minimal).
If you import the original Luna.theme, and perhaps the windows games too, and now it's literally indistinguishable from Windows XP Professional.
>>59459237
If I wanted my software to break in hilariously subtle ways due to missing dependencies, I'd install Gentoo.
>>59459297
If there's a missing dependency, simply install it.
I mean, some programs won't run without .NET frameworks and you see that happen on the mainline Windows editions too.
After my updates are done installing, I'll start installing various pieces of software to prove that they work.
>>59459237
>It's Windows XP. Same kernel, simply different preloaded programs and configurations (which can be easily edited through Group Policy Editor, and even then any changes you may want to make are minimal).
And perhaps even less bullshit.
what was the first time you released the jinni?
Never because I'm not mentally retarded.

My apologies if this isn't the place to ask
I need a new power supply since mine is making noise that sounds like bearings that have gone to shit now, considering this one unless anyone has a better suggestion. Needs to be at least 500w and has to have a six connector for my graphics card.
I'll admit Idk much about computers, I built mine mostly out of spare parts my brother left in the basement when he moved out. I am 100% positive that it's my psu making noise though. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

picture obviously unrelated
Not your personal tech support. Fuck off.
>>59459195
Thanks asshole. A simple fucking question and you're too stuck up to answer it or at least point me in the right direction. You fuck off.
>>59459229
Don't worry bro that guys a dick. If you install gentoo it should be able to tell you how much power youre drawing.
Then you can find an adequate PS
If you're not using XP then you should be using 10.

8.1
All the speed, minimal botnet.
Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 (and no i'm not just being "funnay xd")
It's still getting security updates, it got the big security rollup patch 4 days ago, the same kind that Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 got.
It's just like XP Professional.
What are you working on?
I'm working on a wicked sick medieval mmo!

But I was just told in the other thread that it was a Reddit/Discord tracker, so...?
Hey /g/ why are end to end encryption applications needed? I mean doesn't tcp/ip already encrypt all your data anyway? pic related.
