Does a 27" 1080p monitor have too low PPI if I normally sit 2 fucking arm lengths away from my monitor?
I really need a second monitor, currently I only have a 23" 1080p but also like to lay down in my comfy sofa and watch movies and 23" is a but small for that.
And I only buy PLS monitors, no fucking lcd shit
>>59476425
I like my 27" 1080p. It's a good resolution for the size.

Stop using Quick-Charge on your phones, boys and girls.
Notice the increased battery degradation by using a charging rate higher than 0.8C, which quick charging does (it varies between 1C and 3C). 300 cycles is about 1 year of usage.
So yes, your phone charges faster, but the battery is not happy about it.
>>59476406
By the time the battery degrades to unusable levels you should be getting a new phone anyway.
>>59476409
I wonder, who might be behind this post.
How do I turn off quickcharge?
internet speed test thread. only fast.com allowed (other sites are biased because of special optimizations by ISPs).

Use speedof.me
Funny, that site gives me a higher result than speedtest.net.
Can /g/ recommend a 4chan desktop application? I use Clover on my phone but can't think of anything for my computer
4chanX.
Any browser really.
>>59476345
Try out Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, they're pretty good.
>editors "auto-complete" quotes for you by inserting two quotes, and placing the marker between them
>does this completely without regard for where your marker is, i.e. you pasted a string and just want to quote one end
>usually get strings likevar = "somethinghere""
Is it just me or has this idiotic IDE meme increased lately?
I'm more interested in why 4chan would compress a 1kb image.
>copy concatenated string into string
>IDE escapes quotesvar lel = "hello " + " " + "world";
var string = "";
var string = "hello \" + \" \" + \"world" ;
I disabled this feature in my editor. I also place brackets myself, which isn't even slow with enter mapped to the left hand.
As for escaping symbols when pasting strings: my preferred language isn't retarded so that isn't neccessary.
How do i install amdgpu pro driver for GCN 1.0 card.
Click 'Install'. Done

Is that even supposed to be a question?

What's his end game?
To sustain himself only with the food he can find on his feet.
All code ever written available to anyone, making programming easier for everyone, making programs less prone to backdooring.

Am I the only one that likes how Windows 8.1 looks by default more than 7/10?
Yes, you're the only faggot here.
>>59476128
windows 8.1 is the last good windows version. disable telemetry scheduled tasks and you're good to go, it's basically a faster windows7 with updates until 2023.
if you disagree you're obiouvsly a pooinloo mentally ill teenager who likes ads in explorer.exe and 95% disk usage while updating win10 24/7.
>>59476128
If Windows 8.1 had icons from Windows 10 it would be a 10/10.
/g/ I fucked up
I accidentally installed Windows 7 over my external backup with all my docs and pics.
Is there anyway to get it back?
Install Gentoo

>>59476593
If anyone finds >>59476564 this difficult they shouldn't be operating a computer. Installing Arch took me 15 minutes the first time I did so. The longest part was waiting for downloads and updates.
Trying to wrap my head around this:
Should I configure Virtualbox guests running Linux to use TRIM when the host stores the VDI disk image on an SSD?
There is no reason to use VirtualBox on a modern OS.
That's it guys no point in fighting for privacy we are fucked. At every level:
We cannot trust propritary software as we don't know if there is backdoor
> Mhumhmu use FOSS
Very little chance to find backdoor (Heartbleed ?)
> Mhumhmu Crypt your data
RSA algorithm is backdoored by NSA
> Mhumhmu use another one
Every fucking OS are backdoored by CIA acording to Vault7. No point in crypting
> Mhumhmu My OS in not backdoored as I use XXXX (FreeBSD fools)
Ok maybe what about your BIOS ? (Some BIOS attack, can rewrite themselve in USB, graphic card, motherboard small writable place and rewrite themselves into BIOS at all boot even if they are deleted, will find sauce if you ask for)
> Mhumhmu I use open-source BIOS
Ok what about your hardware. How are you sure there is no backdoor in your graphic card, CPU, motherboard ? These are un-auditable anyway.
> Mhumhmu....
Can you trust your ISP ? Can you trust your router, your switch ? No you don't have any idea as you didn't audited the source code.
Admit it /g/ we are fucked and it feels bad. The only solution is to start from scratch and make everything open source, it's never gonna happen. Nobody want to recreate CPU, Network, Software.

>Heartbleed
Because it's C
C is a disservice to intelligent programmers. It has almost 0 features that a modern and intelligent programmer uses to be productive. Since C is such a timesink, it's popularity is falling more than any other languages in the market.
C is dying and it should die ASAP. C programmers are actually retards in general. C is a small language to grasp, exactly the kind of shit that makes things retard friendly.
C has no advanced features like C++ does.
But as a newfag you are kinda in the right direction. C is for newbies. Think of it this way:
During ancient times, counting to 10 was a big deal and a person who could count to 10 was considered to be "wise".
Fast forward a few century counting to 10 is so trivial we teach this to toddlers. Now toddlers appreciate the vast "knowledge" of counting to 10 while matured brains are busy with modern technologies.
C is from stone age and the people who still preach it is like overgrown toddlers that can't learn advanced things.
C doesn't have delegates
C doesn't have resizable arrays
C doesn't have strings
C doesn't have string concatenation
C doesn't have namespaces
C doesn't have exception handling
C doesn't have closures in the standard
C doesn't have unit tests
C doesn't have Function overloading
C doesn't have memory safety of any kind
C doesn't prevent memory exploits and has no bounds and runtime checks
C doesn't have dynamic method loading/creatin
C doesn't even have generics and templates
C doesn't have meta programming
C doesn't have mixins
C doesn't have higher order functions
C doesn't have contract programming
C doesn't have inner classes
C doesn't have function literals
C doesn't have array slicing
C has a very limited support for implicit parallelism
C doesn't even have string switches
C is a cancer that plagues the modern industry. If you want guaranteed memory exploits and security vulnerabilities in your program with timesink development period then use Assembly, not C.

You got scammed hard.
>>59475754

that said, it is a bad idea to build a PC that cheap. IMO you need to add $200 to the cost of a console to actually have a good pc, and that's without peripherals or a display.
