How do we save Terry?
Terry is a nice guy and I really wish /g/ would stop harassing him
We don't. Terry saves us.
Can I get a quick rundown of who the hell that guy in the OP is?

Debian used to be my favorite until I tried getting ati drivers working on a T60 and after installing per a guide x would fail to load
Should I use it as my main OS on my main machine? (T430)
Have any of you delid your i7-7700k? Give details. Which tools did you use to delid? To wipe away the TIM? To remove the adhesive? Did you use solvents of any kind to clean away the TIM residue or the adhesive residue? Which TIM did you use? Which adhesive, if any, did you use? Please give as much detail as you can with regard your technique and procedure.
Most importantly, what kind of heat reduction did you gain from the delid?

janitors pls ban antipiracy/antiencryption threads
This will trigger bots and newfags
As much as it is that people who are against piracy and encryption are poor cultural fits for 4chan, it does not make us look too good to censor them. That said, we should look for patterns associated with bot posting (has 4chan pass; repeatedly makes the same thread at similar time intervals, with similar replies; and little to no other posts from the same IP), and ban them as per Global Rule 14.
I don't think they care about bots /g/ is the least cared after board and has been for years, litterly not even possible to get /v/a/ unless posting porn

Why does THE WORLD KING OF CHINKSHIT use iphone? why doesn't he use one of the 1000's of phones that he sells on his many sites?
It really makes you think...
Because it's expensive, it's a fashion accessory and status symbol.
>>59504350
>a well known billionaire needs a phone as a status symbol

isn't that what all phones are?
in other news, Google's chairman also uses iphone.

What does /g/ think of Brave?
obvious meme
It's been shilled a lot apparently.
Not a bad browser in my opinion, but there are better options. Firefox and all of its flavors are laggy as fuck which is why I prefer to stay away from Brave. The design is pretty comfy though.

>Firefox and all of its flavors are laggy as fuck which is why I prefer to stay away from Brave
It's based on Chromium, not Firefox.
I do not like Brave.
Why can't I have a smart home with voice integration without perpetual connection to the internet?
>>59504082
Because companies found out if they provide SaaS, then there's little chance of their IP being reverse engineered and/or re-implemented under a Free license.

Why is there no open source alternative to Echo/Google Home?
>>59504131
Because in the broad scope of things very few people actually give enough of a damn to care about their own privacy, let alone others, enough to implement those things. It takes a lot more engineering effort than you would first believe, especially designing and training the neural networks which run them (which by definition can't be open source since they are software is learned rather than written)
I tried that programming thing but it turns out that all I really want to do is brag to people below me about my usage of Linux. Is infosec the right career path?

So I have a GTX 970 and a EVGA Supernova G3 650 watt PSU. The power supply has a VGA 1 and VGA 2 port. 1 cable is a dual 6+2 pin and other is just a single 6+2 pin. At the present moment I have 1 cable plugged into VGA 1 which is the dual 6+2 pin which is plugged into my GTX 970 (6 pin + 6+2pin) The question is do I need to use both VGA cables to plug into the 970 or will just the one dual 6+2pin do the job? Do I need both VGA cables?
This is what I have plugged into my GTX 970
>>59503754
Does she have a penis?
Check the ratings on the side of your PSU, and you should get your answers. If they package that kind of cable with the PSU, then I would expect it to be able to handle a GPU like a 970.
