I work for a big multinational company that make network softwares.
They have pages of specification documents, architectural documents and training material.
While I worked on piece by piece features assigned to my team for delivery I thought I would never understand how few people at the beginning made this giant software.
What kind of skills they needed to make this software.
After I read 3 chapters of this book;it all make sense now!!
Every design and component patterns can be described in terms of concepts told in this book.
Why is this not part of CS major?
Fuck this. I will leave my company to make similar software with my friends. Its very feasible now.
Is there any other book that are deliberately hidden by software (((companies)))??

It's not our fault that useless software engineers "learn" specific technologies instead of first principles. Guess what? Your job is to find ways to generalize logic. You failed by not seeking out reapplicable patterns.
So, we have to make guides for people like you that apply these principles to our tech stack. It can't make programmers good, but it can make them able to function without wasting the time of good programmers to babysit them.

I've gone through the whole array,

and I've come to realize that if you run a computer post-2010 not using KDE, you're insane. Sure, KDE Plasma has bugs and all, but if you use some other shit on a modern PC, you have to have either titanium patience, a weird workflow, or be actually retarded.

The last good version of KDE was KDE 3.
At least GNOME has good HiDPI and Wayland support. I am using HiDPI and Wayland, _today_. Plasma 5 is not doing either well. Last I checked KWin on Wayland crashed more often than a blind kid with parkinsons.

Hallo friends. Yesterday i made a thread about how im going to have an interview for an IT Support position.
For the useless NEETs here i'll tell you how it went. I have no past experience in IT Support but i was still able to land an interview.
Look for open positions and apply really early. To make up for the lack of experience get some certificates in any IT related shit you can find for free online. Some of them are really simple and can be obtained in under an hour (Google Certificates for example).
That'll get you through the screening process and to an interview. Additionally add some personal projects - maybe detail some of your projects in 1 Page and add them to the certificates. Like some short overview/add GitHub Lnks etc.
Interview was relatively simple. They asked me about any past experience, tried to find out what type of person i am because the position requires face to face support rather than remote. Of course they explained the company etc.
They did a bad job about what is actually required of me on a daily basis so i asked about that and the specific tasks id have to carry out.
They asked me about what operating systems i use, if im someone who builds his own pcs rather than buying one out of the box. They even asked me what i'd recommend someone who wants to buy a "light gaming PC" . I unironically said he should wait for a mid range Ryzen Processor and should buy a 1060 and fucking 8 Gigs of RAM cause 16 aren't necessary.

At the end of the interview they had this old desktop computer hidden and wanted me to tell them where id put the Graphic Cards in and asked me to name some of the parts in the computer and the I/O at the back. They didnt even want to do it because they knew i know the answer anyway based on what i said but we did it anyway and laughed at the HDD and the optical drive inside this old shit computer.
Not sure i i get the job but doing the interview was fun and id do it again.

How do I make myself work hard when I feel cucked by working hard? If I work hard then I know someone somewhere had more success with less effort or through a smarter method. I feel like a sucker.
I feel like I need to go outside and savour my youth even though I had no friends or social life all through university (and now) and going to the library or cinema ultimately makes me feel conned, like there was a promise of human / societal connection that never happened. No wonder I spend so much time on 4chan.
I already know I'm asking a stupid question. I already know all advice is trivial and there is no method and so on. The most encouraging advice I can think of is also horrifying: that everything turns in to work when you care about it. I see groups of people at the gym (usually multiple guys and one girl) socialising by acting as unpaid clowns for the girl. This is horrific to watch, as if they've managed to turn relaxing in to a rat race. Of course I'm no better, my "work" is following a lifting routine. Even when I see people boasting about not working or being relaxed it's like seeing them take part in an insouciance pageant.
