i hate programming, please help..........................
The Payroll Department keeps a list of employee information for each pay period in a text file, The format of each line of the file is the following:
<BID>, <last name>, <first name>, <hourly wage>, <hours worked>
(this is called a CSV file, comma separated value).
<BID> is a string (it might look numeric)
<last name> is a string (it might contain spaces)
<first name> is a string (it might contain spaces)
<hourly wage> is a float
<hours worked> is an integer
Write a program that inputs a filename form the user and prints to the terminal a report of the wages paid to the employees for the given period. The report should be in tabular format with the appropriate header. Each line should contain an employee's full name (first name last name), the hours worked, and the wages paid for that period.
Use this "employees.csv" in a new window to test your program.

It's actually probably not. RS232 is a 12v signal and that's pretty uncommon. I don't specifically know SCADA but an rs232 compatible protocol at lower voltages is very common. Still one of the simplest most tried and true serial protocls there has ever been.
