Do free softwares smartphones exist /g/ ?
Currently using an iPhone 4s and feeling opressed
>>59585436
Yes
>>59585436
Did you just die anon?
>>59585436
If a free software phone exists you could call Stallman.
https://github.com/MoonchildProductions/Pale-Moon/issues/978
I would say it does not look that good for the Pale Moon crowd as it seems not to be able to go forward anymore web-compatibility wise and whatever way they will go soon, they lose what makes them feature rich.
A re-base would also mean you lose everything what makes Pale Moon more feature rich compared to Firefox.
Seamonkey, Pale Moon, Waterfox or Cyberfox...
There is no future of customizable browsers out there based on legacy Mozilla code.
Time to accept the invitable: Customizatuion in Mozilla based third party products is going to die.
What is your next plan guys? Will you move on to Brave/Edge/Vivaldi or some Webkit forks? Or will you go back to Firefox?
>>59585285
What does that issue have to do with anything?
>hurr durr our halfass fork can't maintain a project the size of firefox in its entirety
Nothing to do with customization.
What's up with Seamonkey? It works fine.
>>59585285
Honestly I'm at a loss. I'm just holding my thumbs up for the PM project, it's been a blast, but the problem of keeping up with Mozilla is a huge.
There's really no better long-term options for Firefox, only firefox itself. And it's become a bit shitty, and will become way shittier soon as they break all the existing add-ons. So I don't know, it seems hopeless.
>>59585335
Don't you understand that OP is listing FF alternatives that still are customization-oriented? Do you have brain problems?

What's the best programming chair, /g/?
>If I'm going to sit on my ass all day, I had better be comfortable.
I'd cut off my left nut for a Steelcase Leap Worklounge.
>>59585188
I've been using Marcus from Ikea for a year without any issues. Does the job
People who use a chair aren't programmers, they are faggots.
True programmers have 3 monitor arms next to their bed with 3 monitors ready to be positioned as soon as you lay comfy in the bed,
the desktop next to the bed,
and a nice bed table for the keyboard and mouse.
True elite programmers do everything from the bed.
What's the most realistic sounding text to speech software at moment?

Depends on what you want to do
IVONA won some awards a few years ago, but if you want emotional inflection or something I'd see if there isn't some Jap shit for that - they do make vocaloids after all.
Hello /g/,
I have a specific data plan which grants me unlimited data during the weekends only ( normally i have 50GB of data / month )
The unlimited data during the weekend is extremely good, although i can't tether / use my phone as a modem with it as it wastes my original data plan.
Are there any free apps which allow me to "hide" the tether usage ?
Or even android tweaks that might fix that issue ?
First thing you'll have to find out how the fuck they realize that you are using your phone as a hotspot and not just browsing through it. Make guesses and then tests.
Say you are following a link to a .jpeg file online directly. Can it really manage to distinguish between you downloading that image from a computer using phone to connect the internet and not directly from phone? If it does, then I think they might be doing the check through the name and the version of the internet client making the request.
You can try changing your browser settings to make itself look like some mobile browser. Old Safari on Windows used to have such a feature with developer tools enabled. I don't know if Chrome out any other browser has it nowadays.
Just the mobile emulation may or may not work. Chrome has mobile emulation under F12 developer tools, but I don't know if it also makes itself look like a true mobile browser to the server as well.
Try using the IPX protocol with a crossover cable.

If they do check everything wouldn't it make more sense to tunnel everything through a vpn and hope they ignore encrypted traffic? No clue if you can distinguish VPN traffic from HTTPS though.
What is the objectively best browser?
>>59585103

What does /g/ think of C#?
>>59585074
It has four '+', so it's obviously better than C++ which only has two and C which has none.
>>59585074
It's limited to .NET, and .NET is limited

How can I learn to program a qt ai gf?
>>59584792
Please be my AI GF
begin by learning about neural networks, make some simple, easily tested ones
then think about how to make training data that trains it to be a qt
then drop it in and begin the evolution process

C++ as a general purpose language was a mistake.
>>59584739
You had no better choice.
>>59584754
Key word: had
i am a lot more worried about javascript as a general purpose language to be extremely honest
is this true?
>>59584665
Pretty much.
>>59584665
yep, you can start with: https://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp and just skimp through

That picture is unreasonably arousing
So what does /g/ use their personal servers for? I'm thinking about picking up one of these since I've been wanting one for a while just for backup/seeding FOSS shit.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9sia5yv4zt5210
I know I missed the crypto hype so it'd be useless to try now, but I feel like something this powerful would be wasted on backup. Any suggestions?
I'm currently working on a build list for a server. I plan on using to host all my movies, shows and music to stream to all my other devices and transcode them when needed.
Got an old sandy bridge celeron with 12tb backup drives.
I run sonarr, radarr, sabnzbd, emby-server, motioneye and a starbound server to play starbound with my kid, all running in docker containers.
Also using it for samba and NFS shares.
Running centos 7.

Life is easier when you spend your time socialising and when there is a problem with your computer, you can call your virgin friend over to fix your computer. You don't even have to suck his dick because he is so desperate of interacting with females, helping one is enough for him to get off.
My Antergos Gnome 3 stopped booting after installing nvidia drivers. Now I want something actually stable. Currently thinking maybe Fedora/Debian or Windows 10. I want something good for programming. For desktop. Recommendations?
