So I updated my S7 to nougat and it made the SD card corrupted basically.
>updated phone
>phone says sd card is corrupted
>spend a couple hours trying to find out what's wrong without formatting it
>get no where
>I give in and transfer the files to the computer
>put the sd card back in the phone and format it
>now I'm getting a notification that it's corrupt and needs to be formatted again
>stuck in this formatting corrupt loop on the phone
>now the computer is saying it's corrupt
Surprisingly, all the info is still on the sd card.
Trying to format on the computer gives an error saying that it can't format.
Running chkdsk makes it say "Corruption was found while examining the volume bitmap. An error occurred while recovering lost files."
Trying to format with Easeus did nothing. Trying to format with disk manager did nothing.
Format with the phone and it will say it completed, and then immediately say that it is corrupted, and since I can still see all the files, it's evident that it didn't format.
So yeah, any ideas?

Put a linux distro on a USB/DVD and format with sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX
Where X is your SD card partition.
After that just reformat with windows or phone and see if it werks

There are other programs that like to write a lot to the disk, like browsers and certain streaming programs.

What you cand do is getting a 2nd drive and install your stuff in there and leave the SSD only to windows.
Not the best option but the most affordable one.
