What do you think of Java Programming /g i want to become a Java developer , would like to start my career being a java dev
what other options should i look into
>>59615079
maybe try banging your head against rocks for a while, and give up on hope of ever being an individual or notable person. really go for a deep dive, mentally, on what it would like to be an ant in a colony, a meaningless part of a larger superorganism that's consciousness is a matter of philosophical debate
then spend a few years learning java and get a job writing enterprise software in a massive corporation

As Java is the most popular language to code in, You are sure to get a job in it.
Java, C# - big, scalable projects
Python(Django), Ruby(Ruby on Rails), PHP (Symfony 2, LaRavel) - smaller projects
Take one or two of them. But to be great developer You'll need to take a grasp and make one or two simple projects in most of them.
To find differences and have ability to argue why one is better than other for specific solution.

I don't wanna be insane or become a junkie who will suck dicks for a dose
Long story short: I want to be competitive in my field, so I'm going to learn at least one programming language, and it'll be HTML5/CSS. What's the best way to learn? Codeacademy? Books? Classes?
I already checked out some books from the local library today, and it seems easy enough to learn. I just want to know if there's a more efficient way. I live in the Silicon Valley, so I have access to anything I could want; there is no limit.
I'm about to transfer into Berkeley with an English AA, and in order to stand out when I graduate, I need to show that I have technical skills as well. My end goal is to be a technical writer in medicine, or somewhere in the hyper-competitive tech industry, should it have room for me.
Any help would be nice.

I'm not surprised by your shitty choices. you're clearly just a pleb.
What went wrong?
Why doesn't anybody use it unironically?
>>59614524
Plenty of top programmers use functional languages, especially for prototyping stuff rapidly in Lisp / Python / Haskell
When it needs to be mass produced and sucked through the normalization field, that prototype gets converted into Java by code monkeys.
>>59614567
Yeah you'll never be a code monkey, you'll show 'em!
>>59614567
Except I've never seen a single line of functional code in the real world in my entire life, and literally every mainstream piece of software you can think of is not written functionally.
What software do you use that turns zip files into iso files?
mv
.iso
7zip
Is open launcher /ourlauncher/?

And it also doesn't play well with software buttons. It's still alpha, and it's just the first release, will it ever be good as nova?

I like the layout but all the settings are buggy. Also the image blur option is too aggressive, you should be given a slider. Speaking of sliders, any settings with those keeps jerking the window up and down rapidly and is practically unusable.
I prefer Silverfish although I find it infuriaring I can't rearrange icons properly, but once you set it up it's golden.
Ok you triggered assholes, i just have been hacked and i want to establish some serious security stuff for my Windows 7 and my botnet accounts because i'm a fucking retard that is still learning Linux and needs that shit until i can use Linux. GIve me serious answers, i'm not in the fucking mood.

You need to be more specific.
So if intel processors are conflict free, does that mean amd processors are made from dead african children and chink slave labor?
>>59614143
How are they conflict free when jews are destroying Palestinian houses to build their colonies?
>>59614143
AMD is a third-world based company who make inferior, "knock-off" copies of American processor chips. They use child labor extensively in their third world sweatshops, and they deliberately disable the security features that American processor makers, such as Intel, use to prevent hacking. AMD chips are never sold in stores, and you will most likely be told that you have to order them from internet sites. Do not buy this chip!
I though mod already ban intelshill, they keep coming back

I'm using a Lenovo N22 Chromebook. What will have better batter life: the chrome os or gallium os?
>>59613919
You'll have marginally better battery life with chrome os stock. Though you can strip gallium down til has better battery life.
>>59615109
It seems that gallium os is a full featured Linux distro.
>>59613919
chrome os
>inb4 botnet
but tehn again, if your chrome os is updated after version 53, you can install android app in there
I have never in my life encountered something as complicated and fucking retarded as connecting to a VPN on a headless Linux server. I am a full time systems administrator who makes a modest $60k a year and have been in the field for years - I'm a hobbyist and love networking and systems administration - but hot fucking damn I have never hated technology more than trying to get my headless home server to connect to a VPN using OpenVPN.
Thanks for reading my blogpost.
>>59613828
why is this still happening in <current year> ?
>>59613828
Logs. I've never had a problem with OpenVPN.
