What was the real cause behind it?
Could it really be just a malfunction?

Looking at the video, my guess is that a coupling or shaft key in the gearbox for the escalator failed, and the weight of the passenger load was enough to make it run in reverse.

Now that our internet history is available for sale. Whats stopping the government from watching you because you google lolicon on a regular basis?
As if they didn't already watch you for googling such things. Now they don't need any excuses to do what they do. If someone was rich enough, they could purchase your internet history and see that you googled niggerfaggot a week ago. How does this new law work?

I like simple, such as dynamic typing. Also, static binaries for everything means that GPL golang code is practically non-existent...

Most Go progammers just follow the current github fad of using the MIT license on everything. It's not like there's any shortage of open source libraries out there.

Anyone getting this? Kickstarter beings in about an hour.

I think they fucked up by making it an open case, they completely missed the opportunity of making the internals completely dust-free and maintenance-free.

You better be a millionaire since case + cooler will be ~500 EUR (plus shipping from Belgium)

What's /g/'s opinion on WD external hard drives like pic related?
7 posts and 2 images submitted.

I prefer getting empty hard drives and using a separate USB enclosure. The savings keeps adding up with each new drive, it's easy to swap between drives and I know exactly what quality of drive I'm using.

It works. There's a newer version of this which is a bit faster but for most use cases, this one in OP is fine.

hi /g/ why do we have dynamic ips and not static ips like in the 90s? why did we switch?

>>
I technically have a dynamic IP, but nothing I've done changes it. It's randomly changed a couple times over the years, but even when I've left my modem unplugged for a week while on vacation it didn't change. Are there American ISPs that let you change your IP by just turning off your modem for a few minutes?
