What's the cheapest ryzen?
Will AMD even bother to compete with the G4560 or will that continue to be the king of poorfag value PCs?
>>59651688
Bump. maybe one of the fx chips from a older gen once ryzen 3 comes out?
wonder if she can read what her shirt says
her eyes just shine intelligence
>>59651738
Fx 8 cores should be pretty cheap soon but I'd rather AM4 to be honest.
Also any updates on APUs?
From the day sli and crossfire became a thing, was there any set of cards that actually was worth to dual it?
>>59651575
no.

I tried jerking four guys once with that "middle out" method.
Didn't work. The show is scientifically unsound.
I'm doing an assignment for a class where I have to make a simplified bash shell in c and opendir is fucking me over right now, though i'm 99% sure i'm using it correctly.

So I got an interview in a couple days for a data analyst position in a surplus line firm. My buddy who already works there is telling me that the interviewers are going to ask me "Why our company" and "Why are you seeking this position".
Imho, I really don't know how to approach this question. How would /g/ approach this?
go to their fucking website
go to their "about us" page
read all the fucking buzzwords
in the interview, pretend like those buzzwords appeal to you on a deep emotional level
also if your buddy is already working there, be sure to mention that in the interview, something like "I also have a friend who works here, and he says it's great!"

Is SLI still shit? I have a 1080 GTX. Should I get a second one cheap off ebay, or sell mine for cheap on ebay and get a 1080Ti? Which would be a better investment?
t. fell for the 4k meme
SLI is fine, despite the memes.
I run 980 SLI at 4K and it works in pretty much everything. There are exceptions of course though but anything that really pushes the GPU will tend to support it.
That said, SLI scaling is pretty sad compared to crossfire scaling (roughly 50-60%) and considering the 1080Ti is already around 25-30% better than the 1080, it's enough to push you into a happy place for 4K/60FPS but I think you'd be smarter to simply wait for the GTX 1180.
>>59650812
Do you get any microstutter or did that meme die?
I haven't SLI'd since forever. I'm thinking of upgrading now or staying put because by next gen there'll be little point in ebaying my card (now, it still fetches an okay amount)

Is it possible to create micromotor wheel skates that work like Air Trecks? The suspension and power are godly, I'm sure everyone has wanted a pair after reading/watching it.
>>59650331
yes, and they require a backpack that weighs 100lbs and high voltage wires going down to the skates
Here's a canonical diagram for reference.
>>59650348
Electrical shock much? And dear god, is there no way to reduce the weight?
I'm assuming most of you have/are studied/studying CS, how much time do you devote to work in a week, that includes lectures, labs, homework and projets.
As little as it takes because I'm never gonna use this shit

*8 hrs a day is all you need if you have a schedule and stick to it, the problem is everybody puts it off until last minute or does stupid things like try and memorize shit.
One exception is an Operating Systems course, because you have to do it in a group and those projects always take up a ton of time because either your group is retards, late, slackers, or you have to be their TA and instruct them while at the same time trying to finish your microkernel. Sadly you can't pick your group and get assigned into it so that class will eat up a ton, ton of time I recommend you skip it and just teach yourself from a Tanenbaum book on the side.
how did we make computers, video recorders, microphones and other tech stuff out of soil and trees?
>>59650148
because white people exist
soil contains metals and compounds which can be broken down into individual chemicals, which can then be synthesized into plastics

recommend & discuss opinions because my current one is nearing its size limit and I need to migrate to a bigger one ≥2TB, I saved up money so money is not really an issue.

how soon before humanity "lives" inside a computer simulation?
We already are
< 2000 years
>>59650017
never. no one will be able to upload a human mind into a computer, because of the no-copy theorem in quantum mechanics.
Speccy thread.
