Hey /g/

So I'm looking to make a temperature controller for my stove using Arduino (it's what I have, so it's what I'll settle for).

On hand, the SSRs I have are pretty tiny. They're NT72C-S10 (pic related)

Here's the closest data sheet on them I could find:

http://www.mantech.co.za/ProductInfo.aspx?Item=82M0477

Is it possible to use these to make what I intend to make?

I mean, I could drop 400 dollars on a temp controlled hotplate, but it seems a little excessive if all I'm going to do on it is make soup and fry steaks...

There is literally no point in using "fast boot" ever, it's a gimmick put there for tech illiterate normies who are too stupid to use sleep or hibernate.
Just disable it.

So i need a clean CD to burn DBAN on it and wipe an entire HDD. The problem is that the disk has data with only reading permission so i can't erase it normally. Can you guys recommend some software or method that could force the deletion?

Thanks /g/uys :D

How do I protect my system from data degradation and bit rot? I have it running in a faraday cage with a primary SSD RAID1 array mirrored by a RAID1 HDD array, both ssd and hdd array changed every six months, and an emergency redunancy high speed SD flash card memory array changed every quarter. It feels like I'm in a constant battle to maintain data integrity and I feel like my process is only barely cutting it.

Would it be worth it to invest in a UPS/generator protected ECC ram drive NAS unit, or does the network transfer risk further data degradation?

You again. I save ally Images as . jpg files on an SATA SSD. What now, faggot?
>>
>>59652839

I have a 6tb drive with three 2tb partitions. The first partion has the OS and data on it for speed, the second and third partition are in soft RAID 1 formation. Write access is slower, but that's okay because I only use it for backing up the first 2tb partition.

Sheer Security

Can you make a desktop solution that is completely portable AKA can put everything into a book bag? What would it consist of? (monitor, keyboard, tower) I am fucking sick of laptops. I hate everything about them. I am willing to spend the big buckeroonies and unplug some shit to carry it around with me. I don't give a fucking shit.

As far as I can tell, the best it gets is a micro-ITX with one of those USB type c 1080p monitors and some 60-80% keyboard.
