Don't listen to him. I had a 780 and now a 1080 from pny. Never had a problem and the temps are pretty low. Also, they are the only manufacture Nvidia allows to produce the quadro series.

how's the card on weight? My old strix weighs a fuck ton and it slants.
What is the cheapest way to set up full home video surveillance?
I was considering getting a bunch of rpi zero's and hooking them up to $5-10 webcams or something, but it looks like you can just buy CCTV cameras for about $20 anyways.
The problem with that I assume is you need a CCTV system to hook them into, which I do not have.
Plus, they are VERY obvious, and I would rather these be much more subtle.
Anybody have any experience setting some of these up DIY style?
The ultimate goal for me is to set them up in strategic positions and then hook them into either motion sensors or simple door sensors to turn on and record to a hard drive.

Irrelevant, I won't be recording while I'm home.
Hey /g/.
I am starting now at Linux stuff. And I would like to ask for help with two things (yes I previously tried google...many...months).
1) Is there any place I can learn how to use i3 and konky from the beggining?
2) Is there any script or way to have, on my desktop, in a cool way, a feed of the threads I am watching in imageboards ? It would be cool to have this central of feed and information right away in my desktop (because certains chans just get one or two replies for day).
Sorry about my niggah English. I am not a native speaker.

1) google
2) google
You're welcome
>>59680552
just use a standard desktop environment and use a browser to check your threads like a normal human bean

this series was very helpful when I started out with i3

StayFocused doesn't offer this, neither does K9WebProtection
I do not which 'free' you're referring to but Cold Turkey has a lite version for windows that offers an amount of website blocking.
It may require the full version ($30~?) to set up day and date based scheduling of this feature though.
Alternatively: channel some fucking self control
and let me know when you figure out how
Oh he also uses std::endl instead of a newline character religiously, even in fuckhuge for loops
Did anyone notice that there's a constant stream of code snippets posted on pastebin in this public pastes section?
I feel like there could be some comedy gold hiding in here
ok?
>>59680128
there isn't, there was a thread a few months ago where we all went through them.
it reached bump limit with 0 finds, but go ahead if you have nothing better to do
>>59680128
There is. Mostly it's code and Pokémon setups but every now and then you get fabrication, roleplay, even some doxxed information

Post your permissions page. Let's see how much trust you have in Android's app ecosystem.
Pic related -- but some of my permissions are duplicated or have 3 copies, due to having Knox and Secure Folder installed.
>thinking how many permissions you give matters
It matters what you give permissions to. I can give permissions to whatever the fuck I want because the only software on my phone is FOSS goodness
>>59679533
>owning a smartphone at all
What's it like having a non-free baseband that has been proven to be a backdoor in some Samdung phones? None of your userland shit matters, reddit. Fuck you.
>>59680959
Obviously. I'm very hesitant to give apps any potentially compromising permissions, and selective when it comes to the apps/developers I trust -- with that being said, the overall amount of access one gives is a pretty good indication of how privacy conscious that person may be.
Even if you were to give permissions ONLY to FOSS applications trusted by the community- the more apps that have access to your phone, mic, etc. increases the chances of your data being exploited by some rogue botnet.
What's the tiny equivalent of a libreboot thinkpad running only libre software? How muh freedum can I get?
Should I just build a laptop case for a beaglebone black and call it a day?
Also post cool tiny computers.
Might end up going with this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWlZ3B_hq_g&t=0s
Would be a fun project and it seems pretty handy. Though a raspberry pi 3 would work better, it wouldn't fit in the iPhone case.

Everybody knows about this, it's just $600+ dollars and doesn't mention open hardware at all.
Any tech fags care to help me solve a little mystery?
I have a desktop here which I suspect has a faulty PSU, So without disconnecting anything other than the Main 24pin and CPU 8pin I've connected my PSU tester and switched on the PSU. The PSU is running and the tester is working but somehow the fan on the CPU cooler is spinning? How is this possible?
CPU fan is connected to CPU_Fan, and chassis fans aren't spinning.
Just buy a razer prebuild

How do you post on 4chan? If I block first-party scripts in uMatrix, posting windows doesn't even open. If I block google captcha scripts, captcha doesn't load. This is with legacy captcha, too.
