This thread is about the appreciation of watches, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to produce a fine BVLGARI watch.

Can anyone give me the quick gestalt on the 6139 series of chronographs? Any former or current owners? What to look for when buying?
I love me some chronos and something like this really stands out from the pack, and being one of the first automatic chronographs is pretty neat too.
First for the greatest achievement of watchmaking, ever.
Why don't we appreciate the modern technology in quartz watches a bit more? Talk about it? Not call it dogshit?

Explain to me like a 5 year old what a subnet mask is and how it is done
>>59685644
its a magic thing idk its just done :^)
bitmask that identifies the network part of an IP address
for example
255.255.255.252
you can have 4 addresses and 2 hosts within this subnet mask.
the last number is your (host portion of the address)
the first 9 numbers are the network portion of the address
it's a 32-bit address
read up on CIDR notation

Why are you still using Windows 10?
Why have you not yet downgraded to the greatest 7?
I used it for three months and went back to 8.1
>>59685540
Why havent you yet upgraded to GNU/Linux?
I never even "upgraded" to Windows 10
>recaptcha in firefox
>have to solve many times to verify
>recaptcha in chrome
>don't even have to solve one

>RELEASE: CIA Vault 7 part 3 "Marble"
https://wikileaks.org/vault7
https://youtu.be/uxmMt4EW3PQ
>today, March 31st 2017, WikiLeaks releases Vault 7 "Marble" -- 676 source code files for the CIA's secret anti-forensic Marble Framework. Marble is used to hamper forensic investigators and anti-virus companies from attributing viruses, trojans and hacking attacks to the CIA.
>Marble does this by hiding ("obfuscating") text fragments used in CIA malware from visual inspection. This is the digital equivallent of a specalized CIA tool to place covers over the english language text on U.S. produced weapons systems before giving them to insurgents secretly backed by the CIA.
>Marble forms part of the CIA's anti-forensics approach and the CIA's Core Library of malware code. It is "[D]esigned to allow for flexible and easy-to-use obfuscation" as "string obfuscation algorithms (especially those that are unique) are often used to link malware to a specific developer or development shop."
>The Marble source code also includes a deobfuscator to reverse CIA text obfuscation. Combined with the revealed obfuscation techniques, a pattern or signature emerges which can assist forensic investigators attribute previous hacking attacks and viruses to the CIA. Marble was in use at the CIA during 2016. It reached 1.0 in 2015.

1400 OC tested vs the G4560 and i5-7400
3.8Ghz OC on the stock cooler. I would have hoped for 3.9, but that's still nice.
RAM is only 2666mhz.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcdmeGOsnss
CPU utilization is the one to watch on some of the games like BF1. 55-71% on the OC 1400 compared to 97-100% on the 7400.
But in some games like FO4 it gets about 10% lower FPS, despite having 40% lower CPU utilization.
i need people in here to lurk
