I just bought an Acer Aspire, model ES1-521-25Q6 with 6GB RAM which I want to upgrade. I need a service guide because there is no direct access to replace the RAM so I have to open it to the guts. I found a video for a similar model but an official service manual/guide would be better.

thanks, but I still need a service manual, I'm removing windows
>>
>>59728064
why do you need a service manual for that?
if you want to take it apart, just unscrew everything in sight and it should just pop apart. I worked on so many laptops I don't need a service manual

No. It will only make half the things on your phone not work.

It's up to you. DNSCrypt doesn't do anything to prevent DNS leaks, what it does is encrypt the traffic and verifies that the traffic originates from where it should.

It increases security, not user privacy.

The first one I bought with my own money was this AMD K5 233MHz system

I think it had 64MB of ram and a 6 GB Seagate drive, and ran NT 4.0

That 17" monitor cost like 2/5 of the entire system

I need a smaller laptop with a large hardware requirment

I want to be able to connect via usb/console to devices, I need a small screen and an ability to run virtual machines from the laptop/tablet

I've been looking at the sureface pro 4 however, with the five coming out I'm not sure if it is worth it

Looking for something like an I5/I7 and large ram/internal storage. Needs wifi capability, and an Ethernet port would be nice as well

Oh, it runs in a fucking emulator? That's not Linux support. That's like saying N64 games support Windows.

Fucking REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I almost wish wine didn't exist so developers would have to do Linux support properly and not just say "just run it in wine lel"
69 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I'll disagree with you a bit. Wine isn't emulation. It translates API calls but otherwise runs the program natively in x86.

I'll agree with you though that it is really fucking lazy developing, and a 'wine port' shouldn't be called a port at all.
>>
>>59727252
And note that they did a real Mac port, but they couldn't be bothered doing the little bit of extra work required to make it run on Linux too.
>>
well if the developers made at least some effort to make sure that the game runs up to some standard on linux, no matter the way, it's much better than nothing.

honestly, if it gets more games for linux, that's the main thing.
/v/ is seriously thinking of switching right now. when W7 is done for good.

My question to you, /g/, purveyors of all knowledge tech related, is how does an IR missile track its target? Specifically, given that the IR tracking head can receive the heat from the target in front of it, how does the missile head know to turn right with the target or left with the target? If tracking a plane, and the plane veers left, wouldn't that just appear as the IR signal getting weaker to the missile? how does the missile head know to turn left?

>>
You're sadly on the wrong board. If its not a smartphone question or a dodgy CPU/GPU graph, nobody cares.
>>
tl;dr it holds a constant angle to the target

this means instead of tracking and chasing it, the missile tries to follow a collision course
>>
>>59727016
It's tracking it.

The simplest explanation I can come up with is, it sees the IR images as a grid with heat being white, it locks onto the target it's told to fly to and after that if the target moves, for example, left, the white spot on the grid will go to left, another previously not white spot will be white and it knows what direction it goes, now it's programmed turn it's head and body to the left too because it has to keep the white heat spot in the center.

Problem with the old one is that if a drive or network card booted in the wrong order, it would mess everything up if a certain nic or network card was supposed to use eth0 rather than a different one.
