It was the best non-standard proprietary Japanese only x86 PC.

They also made a home console version of it, makes sense since the MARTY ate arcade perfect ports for breakfast

Seems like it was a failure, though.
Im planning on majoring in computer science. I have never taken calculus beforehand, so im not sure how hard it will be. I have a little experience in programming. Should i major in computer science without past experience or will it be too hard?
>>59741070
1: you can do it
2: its hard, actually study. the math is the hardest part of computer science for me because im shit at math
Source: pursuing a CS BS degree at a household name school
Math is easy as long as you out a shitload of time into practicing it. That's literally all it takes. Just practice a ton of you're not good at it.
>>59741070
Calculus and Discrete math (I think you generally need to do both for a degree?) are what trip up most CS majors
I'm going to assume you're a senior in high school, and thus 18 years old or older, and that you have time:
Do whatever you can now to learn Calculus, whether that's online shit, hiring a tutor, taking a community college class, whatever.
If you can't do those things or don't have enough time, then you need to AUDIT (or Listener) a Calculus class, and you MUST speak to your Academic Advisor about it. AUDITing (if you didn't know) means you pay for the class, you attend the class, you do the course work (I think, that might be Listener) but you don't get a grade or accumulate credit hours for it
>Why would I want to pay for a class and not get any credit hours for attending it, and possibly have to take an extra class to meet my credits per semester requirements for scholarships or the like?
Because if it turns out you're a math dunce, you can learn the lesson without tanking your GPA, and you can still learn programming on your own time via the internet and pirated textbooks
Today, Sir Tim Berners-Lee received a Turing Award, the equivalent to Nobel Prize in Computer Science, for inventing the World Wide Web.
https://news.mit.edu/2017/tim-berners-lee-wins-turing-award-0404
He wrote the very first web browser and the very first web server on a NeXT machine. The machine that Steve Jobs invented. It ran NeXTSTEP operating system which is the direct predecessor of macOS and macOS, to this day, still works like NeXTSTEP underneath.
So, without the NeXT, Steve Jobs, macOS, we wouldn't have the WWW today.
How does that make you feel?
PS: Pic related... Tim's NeXT that's now in a museum.
PPS: What the fuck have you done on your RGB-lit gaymer shitbox?
>>59741049
>given an award named after a faggot
yeah I'm sure he's thrilled

don't cut yourself on that edge, bro

Should you edit your comment to gibberish before deleting it on r e d d i t?
>>59740999
>>59740999
You killed a thread for this crap, OP.
Please drink Haitian blood.
>>59741010
The reason I'm asking is because some userscripts called "r e d d i t shredders", that are supposed to delete your post history, usually edit your comments to random strings before hitting the delete button. What gives? What's the point? I mean obviously reddit keeps a log of every single comment edit, right? So who are we fooling with this?
Hi /g/,
I have a UK virgin media hub 3.0, worked fine for 9 months until today. Started getting no connection, and the LED at the bottom is flashing green, and the wifi led is solid green. Have tried to restart and even reset multiple times, and have called support. Engineer booked for 2 days time, but I need my internet connection now. Do any anons have any suggestions as to what I can do now to fix it? Many thanks in advance.
is "Virgin media hub" a new euphemism for porn stash or something
>>59740997
It's fucked
>>59740997
ask neighbor for their code. Or chekc if you can plug directly into the wall.
So, when do you think they will drop free tier entirely?

>>59740995
I think we still have a few months at least.
I just hope they will give us a warning so I can at least record a few albums that I can't find on any torrent tracker.
Who fucking cares.
>>59741084
I do because their music recommending feature is actually quite good. I use it all the time to discover new bands to pirate their music.
What old looking environments are still in development and usable today.
There is FVWM and Windowmaker that still works really well.
CDE is still kicking around in some form I think

Hey guys i need some advice on this.
I have the option to get either a Seasonic Prime Gold 1200w or a Corsair Hx1200i. Now i have done some research but i cant really find anything on the build quality of the Prime Gold. Generally seasonic is regarded to be better but im not sure if its worth it to step down to Gold for that.
>>59740881
What are you going to power with it? 3x 290X?
>>59740881
1.) jonnyguru.com
2.) you almost certainly don't need 1200 watts
>>59740897
A gtx 1080 ti, and i might add another one soon. The price between this and 1000w units is less than a 100 bucks, and since i will probably reuse this PSU in future builds i dont mind paying a little extra to include every possible use scenario in the decision.
Anyway to spoof the SMS I send as coming from an iPhone instead of Android so they show up as blue bubbles?
if someone cares about how your text bubbles show up, then you shouldn't be talking to them.

Where I live if you don't have an iPhone you don't get laid.

buy cheap macbook or retina ipad
use imessenger on that
What's the matter? Afraid I might roll into your interview and ask you to sum all primes under 2 million?

Kill yourself.

Yeah op, kill yourself before you turn autonomous and can't anymore
>>59740654
Just pretend to give a shit and collect checks. Putting real effort into programming isn't worth it. I've worked on my own pulling 100% of the weight and it sucks your will to live.

wrong, some software requires user input. Dumbass.
