Can anyone help me with choosing between the following:
gtx 1050 ti 4gb
rx 470 4gb
>>59765148
rx 470 so far
>>59765148
OP here, i have a 600 euro budget for the whole PC, and where i live, the price between these is only 10 euroes
i've seen over 50 videos on youtube, comparing the performance on maximum settings on some games, and rx470 wins 9 out of 10 times when it comes to fps
but the problem is, everybody keeps writing in the comments that every AMD rx has a problem with bottlenecking (i don't know what that means) and it overheats very often
and nvidia has a longer lifespawn
i need help with deciding which one to buy
btw i'll be going for 8gigs of ram and intel i5-4460 or 6600

I just got an email from Asus asking if i want to do a research interview on the struggles faced when using any branded laptop
It's in London and it says i chose a time and a cafe and we'll meet and do the interview and theyll give me a free Asus ROG GX860 Buzzard Mouse, and i might win an Asus zenwatch 2
Do you think this is real? It's from [email protected] and it's 60ish miles from me?
Do you think it's worth it?

Call corporate and confirm whether or not this is a real program. It might be a scam or something even more sinister (gov operation).
Better safe than sorry.

What a week for us, unique snowflakes!!
We remind all our readers, that since this week, it is not only OK, but pretty elitist to LOVE the now defunct Mac Trashcan Pro, and the former Ubuntu's Unity Desktop Environment
Here we include a list of phrases you can use to keep being yourself
This week will be remembered for years. And remember:It is too good, you can't even understand it

>It is too good, you can't even understand it

That's the exact sentence I often hear from Gnome devs/users.

What do you use to clean up files on your computer?

Hello, cuck anon senpai,
I am typical /g/ dweller, I look down on your pettey computer problems as I do all my own clean up tasks manually, I get up at 6:00am and begin to check my file system by validating it with a paper back up I have, it usually only takes about 2 days, once complete I return to reading about how other people do things and look down on them for having no time to spare for such elementary tasks.

I'm turning 25 this year. I have a completely useless master's degree in the arts (writing) and now I need to find a job.
My STEM GF says that programming jobs are in high demand and that I should do that.
I've started teaching myself HTML/CSS on CodeAcademy (is that a good site?) and I'm planning on learning Python next.
Is it possible for me to get a job that pays reasonably well without a degree? What languages should I be learning? What are the easiest coding jobs to get with zero experience (I assume I'll have to do some unpaid stuff)?

already did.
no one wants to buy it
If you know how to code a bit try becoming a tech writer. They're the people who write/improve documentation. Every dev loves a tech writer who understands programming, even a little bit.
How do I train neural network to find me porn that caters to my tastes?
>>59764299
You forgot the greater-than sign in the beginning.
First need data on your past viewing history. Use features like word embedding for tags or fetishes. Combine with maybe convolutional neural nets to extract visual features from vidoes.
You just can't enough raw data. Then you need data like amount watched and need to somehow understand what the sweet spot is..
If it closes too soon then maybe you didn't like it
If it doesn't close for a long time maybe its not "hot"
Etc...

>Gnome still does not have thumbnails in the file picker
>>59764230
its right there anon
>>59764254
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as thumbnail, is in fact, image preview/shitty DE, or as I've recently taken to calling it, image preview plus shitty DE. Image preview is not a thumnail unto itself, but rather a demonstration that a fully functioning Shitty DE thumbnail system is possible, but Gnome devs are fucking lazy.

Are you using some form of Linux? If so what?
At the sweetspot?
Too expensive?
>AMD
It's DOA shit
Nobody should ever have a reason to not buy Intel, they make better processors without forcing the consumer to have a soldered IHS, so Intel actually gives you the option to remove the IHS, something that makes AMD shit
Also AMD just sucks, they lied about the TDP and it will set your house on fire

I'd say despite that I've done well for myself with this.

You have to enable xmp in bios mang they're running at the default jdec 1333.
>post speccy and I'll give you some tips.
Start off with grabbing a bunch of bag ties from the grocery store, use them to tidy up the cables. If there's room in the back panel, route the cables behind the tray and back around.
