I've been playing with Kolibri and it's pretty comfy. The OS disc image is 63.5 MB and it runs on only 8MB of RAM. I have an old ThinkPad R60 and it runs like a dream on it. It has all kinds of neat games and other programs like text editors, file managers, image viewers, paint programs, 3D design, IRC clients, etc. Dosbox is built in. It even comes with a bunch of themes to choose from for the window borders and taskbar. Unlike Temple OS, Kolibri has a usable GUI. It's also free and open source and the code is licensed under the GPL. Why doesn't anyone here talk about Kolibri?

Have you fallen for the portable hard drive jew yet?

Sounds like you bought a shit drive
I only use them for shuttling large amounts of data, not carrying around with me during random travels.
As is usually asked about expandable storage on phones, I wonder why people need to bring so much storage with them. I can't imagine even filling a single 64GB microSD with trip movies.

I'm UNIX certified (System V ... tells that I'm an old fart) and I worked before retirement with HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, and Linux from a datacenter architectural high-level view. But other than playing with RAM bootable images of Linux, I'm new ... but I am amazed at how fast this 8-year old notebook with only 2G of RAM runs with a full-install of arch linux. I do believe it is faster than the original XP. Face it, the command line is the same no matter what DE you use and that's all you need if you're a power user.
There is literally no reason to not use GNOME unless you want a fisher price DE with a bunch of menus and buttons because you're too stupid to use a terminal.

Exactly, so why not use XFCE? It gets out of your way and is more reasonable than gnome

How are they funding this kind of coordinated PR blitz on every single major tech site if they're just a VPN provider?
VyprVPN, supposedly a larger VPN provider by revenue, hasn't been able to spend on advertising like PIA has done in the past few weeks.
Is PIA an NSA outfit?
>>59776142
Why the hell would you use a VPN service from the US? PIA is shit compared to NordVPN.

PIA actually bought adverts in newspapers warning people about the privacy bill before it got passed. so i heavily doubt it

I don't like xfce.
I don't like KDE.
I don't like cinnamon.
I hate unity.
But I also hate gnome.
Budgie isn't that customizable yet.
Most other desktop environments take more time to config than should even be necessary.
Are there even any good ootb environments? The Linux community splintered so hard and each group made their own equally trash DE. I hate windows, I hate macos, but I feel like I'll never be satisfied with Linux.

be sure to update your firewall tough
If you could get there with a link it wouldn't be very deep. If you can't figure out how to connect you shouldn't be on it.

Is Cloudflare okay for just hosting your dns zone file and not proxying anything? Or is it still a MiTM?
I'll try to make this brief:
I have a Hori Game Controller I want to use to play games on my PC. Some games don't recognize it, some games recognize some of the buttons, and some recognize it totally.
Okay, so my solution is just, fuck native controller support I'll just use JoyToKey for everything. Except for some of the games that can partially detect buttons and causes conflict with Joytokey
Is there a way to have my controller not be recognized by games, or to completely emulate it as a Xinput so I can have a uniform setup for all games
This probably made little sense, sorry
if i write this "while (i < sqrt(n))" in c++ (n never changes)
will it solve "sqrt(n)" every loop?
