"Desktop publishing" was born on Macs. For years, PCs were seen as business only machines while Macs had tons of options for displays, etc. nobody did creative shit on PCs.
>>
About 30 years ago when adobe photoshop was macintosh exclusive.
That quickly changed, but people still kept repeating that mantra for 20 years, it's all inertia now.

On a scale from 0 to 10, how good do you rate your programming ability to be?

How would you stop truck hijack terrorism with technology? Should it be?

AI, surveillance, biometric authentication, other things? Discuss solutions and why they might not work.

disable the truck if a muslim is inside

I would get rid of trucks. At least within city limits. As necessary as mass shipping is, trucks are a major pain in the dick in urban areas.

>How would you stop truck hijack terrorism with technology
Use biometrics, image recognition, mass surveillance etc to seriously limit muslims' freedom of movement.

So, /g/uys, is g400s still GOD tier mouse in 2017? I bought it in november 2013th and not really sure if I have to change it for something more modern or just clean it and continue to use it for another 2-3 years.
Gaming mice became really shitty in the past couple years, especially the logitech line, as I see it.
Btw I'm not much of a PC gamer, just like the shape.

>>
>>59784696
I like the shape too. Mine shit out on me recently. I bought a Zowie EC1-A, which is supposed to be great and looks nearly identical.

They stopped making the 400s, you have to buy their new, meme model.

I would just clean it if it's not broken. A mouse is a mouse..
>>
Yeah OP it's still pretty much the best even now
>>
There are some slightly better sensors out there today, but you're probably not going to notice a difference. I'd only upgrade if your G400s is breaking.

KDE: Looks like the designers were 9 year olds with no design-experience.
XFCE: Looks like it's from 1997.
Gnome 3: Looks actually a little bit good.
Cinnamon & MATE: Windows copies.
Unity: Not polished at all, and soon dead.

>KDE
It's called Plasma. KDE is the company's name. Basically like the difference between Microsoft and Windows.

>Gnome
Problem with Gnome is that it's entirely driven by designers to the point where they purposely go out of their way to break themes and make it difficult to theme it. Their justification being that Gnome users are human billboards and it's poor advertising if people can't walk by a user's computer and immediately recognize it as Gnome.

As a side effect of this a ton of shit gets regularly broken if you do any amount of customization. Worse still is that this ideology expands onto GTK and affects all GTK software as well.

I'm sticking with XFCE for the time being but as soon as a viable QT alternative pops up I'm switching over.

Doesn't that large grated area below the rear fan fuck with the airflow?

I don't fully understand negative and positive air pressure but if you've got a rear fan trying to pump out hot air then wouldn't the rear grate end up messing with that?

So you thought you can expect the so-called a well written C project in FreeBSD. You thought FreeBSD is any secure than Linux or Android. You thought a perfect C project exists in real life. Oh how wrong you are.
https://www.viva64.com/en/b/0377/
https://www.viva64.com/en/b/0491/
https://www.viva64.com/en/b/0487/

Once again, C has proved itself to be against your security and privacy. C is an obsolete programming language invented in the 80’s when security had 0 (ZERO) security concerns.

C programming should be completely banned and outlawed. C books should be seized and documentations should be destroyed so we can get over the mother of all security exploits.

NSA/CIA paid shills’ FAQ:
>Hurr durr nothing to hide nothing to fear
No, having (un)intentional backdoors in banking system, private folders must be encrypted.

>lul ur n00b, real men produce no security bugs
Either childish, or a tryhard damage control. No one wants their project to be full of memory exploits because of C/C++.

Ban C. Say no to security vulnerabilities. Remember: your data and your privacy is worth protecting. Anyone saying otherwise is an NSA shill.
