Should I use HW decoding or not?
Generally no. Software decoding is always the most accurate and has the most features available.
Where is it?

Do you need to use your CPU while decoding your videos?
Chrome virtually spies on you. Firefox tries to preach SJW propaganda to you
Anybody else feel like going back to using Internet Explorer?

There's been a huge upswing in disinformation in these threads, and in the community in general. At the end of the day, YOU are the one who loses if you take bad advice.
If you see any other build advice or part list threads, direct them here with >>>/g/pcbg and report.
It's not working. It's top of the line, games running at 144fps, it looks great but I'm still not happy. I was happier researching it because I had something to do. Why is it so hard to not hate every second of your life? I really thought the computer would make me happy

For 3D modelling/rendering and gaming
Going X370 for extra sata/usb. Don't care for all the gaymen stuff on this one, but it's the best I could find compared to the ASRock Taichi which still doesn't fucking exist. Placeholder ram, still looking at compatibility.
Mobo is still the major variable. Thoughts?

If you're bored, learn C and ASM and build your own operating system from scratch. Welcome to hobbyist programming.
I'm trying to turn off all telelmetry shit and disable any other shit. Anyone have those images? I have a couple saved but i need a bit more from previous threads which i forgot to save

I just tried Gnome to mentally prepare for a switch from Unity. Oh. My. God. it's so bad, every application that wasn't created with their ugly CSD (and people complained about Ubuntu's NIH, yeah lets make an ugly ass window theme that only works well in Gnome Shell) looks like shit on it and takes away vertical space for nothing. Also, half the extensions don't work etc
I try KDE now and if this is not any better, Linux on Desktop is dead to me.

I am the only one that thinks we train a KI for Google? I see some patterns, all pictures are something public, like cars on roads, traffic sings, stores or apartments. More or lees things that you need to recognize if you want a self driving car.
It´s really strange, for example it never asked me ever for example to difference between animals although you would think if the capacha is for catching bots that would be way harder for a bot to do than mark cars or sings.

Hey /g/
so I made a you tube video but I cant get sony vegas to output nice looking files that actually look nice.(that are not huge)
the video was 2.5 mins but took 11.5 mins to render, was 495mb, and it doesnt look very nice. I could get one that looked as good as the source but it was 13gb....
The source recording isnt great quality, but i find it acceptable, id like the final version to be much closer to the original.
here is a link to the video on youtube and ill post a comparison of the source recording and the final copy. https://youtu.be/OLo53u-1LH0
if you guys have any suggestions for better software than vegas, or a better screen capture than shadow play, that would also be appreciated.
examples of it looking slightly shittier
and an example of the original
What shell extensions would you guys class as "essential" when using gnome?

But GNOME is literally a fucking meme.
It's basically an aborted tablet OS that mimics some macOS features really badly.
They couldn't even copy right. They suck even more at copying than Microsoft.

You have an indefinite amount of money to build a supercomputer. An enormous, gigantic and monumental computer.

Sociologist here. I study protest movements and recently thought about teaching myself how to program a number of twitter bots, let them automatically engage with twitter users who post about certain protest events, and then study how they react to certain messages and how these messages affect the wider network of the user.
My question is what programming language would I have to learn to accomplish that and how long it is likely to take to set it up for say 100 bots that are able to sound sufficiently human and can vary the content and tone of their messages. I know python and some SQL if that helps.
>>59798421
python if youre just strapping shit someone else wrote together or lisp (common lisp or picolisp) if youre doing it from scratch.
>>59798493
My original intention was to let the bots learn how protesters communicate to make the interactions as natural as possible without sounding canned. Would you then recommend python or should I learn lisp?
>>59798573
Lisp is always a good learn but if you're strapped for time just put some neural nets together with python it takes very little knowledge to do this, like an afternoon or 2 for the nets and the rest would just be implementing the posting and training.
