I have to set up parental controls for a client so they can be helicopter parents. The kid (13) is supposedly pretty smart and has already bypassed Microsoft family safety. I was thinking opendns on the router, securing it, and then making sure he's not an admin on the pc so he can't modify the machine's dns settings. I realize that if he's determined enough nothing will stop him. So what do? (Aside from real parenting, because I can't really suggest that).
Don't enable shitty parenting. That kid will most likely get through whatever he wants, and he won't take long to figure out Linux Live distros on a USB key. Unless you get that PC and home network locked down to corporate levels of paranoia, you're SOL

In addition to your ideas also enable: Group policy, secure boot, only boot from HDD/SSD, BIOS password, physical lock on pc casing.
>>59877647
Good ideas, thanks
Will this be the end of nvidia?
No. No you can take a second try to ask an interesting question.
>>59876862
Nvidia is already dead, amd will kill intel soon too
Yeah, just like Ryzen killed Intel. :^)
anyone else experiencing bios issues witht he asrock x370 am4 taichi mobo especially after bios settings update the board just bootloops witht he dr. debug code F9?
>>59876734
Well that sucks, since the taichi seems like the most complete board out there for AM4
How's the processor treating you, OP?
Planning to do a 1700 build
Will have to wait a couple of months before things stabilize and competition rises so i can make a good decision

The cpu is amazing, i managed to get 37ghz on 1.28v witrh temps about 68c on the wraith spire cooler, but the mobo has some kind of bios issue, still doesnt support ddr4 3200mhz ram and theres some kind of issue with F9 code ive sent a report to asrock but they just told me to wait and send them a cpuz report and they will get back to me
Is it possible to cast a .ts format to a Chromecast?

Daily reminder the master race runs bash in Windows, while the dirty plebs run wine in Linux
OwO what's this daddy
Jokes on you I'm running bash in iterm2 master race on osx
>two things that have almost nothing in common except involving the same two OSs
>U GUIZ LINOX IS GHEY
Go away.
Bad bait.
Been struggling for the past few days to crack wifi using Reaver on Android
People in XDA thread have no solution for this yet
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/reaver-android-wifi-hack-stage-error-t3220744/page3
The error I'm getting is sush <stdin>[3]: sh: not found
error: only position independent
executable (PIE) are supported.
oh hackerman where are you?

That shit's not gonna work, bud.

Don't try to take it Jamal.
Are re-encodes "HD"?

Yes.
>>59876181
No.
>>59876181
Maybe.
How common is it for companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, etc. to hire someone without a university degree in CS? I know you can get a programming job without a degree, but can you get one working for one of these big tech companies?
extremely uncommon because top of the line companies could hire nobody but MIT grads if they so chose
Are you ridiculously talented?
If not, why would they choose you over one of the hundreds of graduates desperately vying for the same position?
>>59876041
Define "ridiculously talented". Do lots of app downloads constitute as talent?
How do you read your books /g/?
On my phone like everyone else I guess.
Phone. Google text to speech is good enough that I can just listen to non-fiction like it's an audiobook.
On an e-ink Nook if I can download the book for free. If I can't, I suck it up and get a hard copy from the library or elsewhere.
>>59875551
Gentoo.
>>59875551
You don't "fix" Windows, dumbass. Windows works correctly OUT. OF. THE. BOX. unlike Linux where you have to be a NEET and waste 6 months of your life to get it working.
>>59875551
There's probably some registry hack or group policy to get rid of it, if not, check OOSU 10 and see if it has an option.

>not knowing microsoft already planned on stopping support for any new hardware for old windows since few years ago to push the botnet 10.
do you even research?
>>59875498
I never did any updates for the last 6 or 7 years.
Live is good. The processor will work, but you won't get security updates. Who the fuck updates cpu drivers anyways? I don't.
>inb4 enjoy your holes
You damn retards. Anyone that comes this far already sits in front of your pc (and can take it away).
they must be making a lot of money with all that user data-mining on windows 10
I'm getting a new windows laptop. I need some suggestions on what laptop I should get. It needs these specs or better: 8gb of RAM, 500gb of internal storage, 1080p screen resolution, and a decent graphics card. I have $1,400 to play with, but I don't want to spend all of it if I don't need to.
Why do you need an external graphics card for a laptop? It will suck for gayming anyways. Dell xps 13 is good tho
Just give up
>>59875629
why's that?
"There's indeed a problem (with Intel) but who cares?".

There's also a catch, can you guess what?
(Will you care?)

27 and I think I should just give up PC gaming and Desktop PCs...
I feel I'm just too old for them. Anyone else feel so? Like if I ever have a girl over I want just a cool laptop for her to see not a huge ass desktop station that most normal adults don't have anymore. I know PCs are more powerful but that's the thing, as an adult I shouldn't need the power unless I'm gaming (which I shouldn't be) or it's for my work (My work doesn't require anything).
I'm not trolling. Anyone else feel the same? What are your thoughts.
>>59875456
Im a gamer
>>59875456
>i want to stop using desktops because im afraid a girl will judge me for it
grow a spine u bellend
>>59875794
This. Normie, grow a spine.
When is this coming to Europe?
>>59875407
What is this and why should I care?
>>59875407
I hope never, its shit
If American could keep their shitty botnet services and leave some place for the concurrence that's be great
>>59875607
This.
