I haven't tried it but it honestly looks like the worst drawing program (if it can even be considered one) I've ever seen.

Block them on the hosts you illiterate bastard. Do you pretend to be a /g/ expert and you can't even do that? Jesus fucking christ, even antibeacon can do that for you.
is there any point using BSD other than to be a special snowflake? like a practical reason?
only thing i can think of is there's probably no malware made for a system used by about two dozen people.
there is
No.
You use it to create proprietary software that you won't use.
>he complains every day about Windows
>still uses Windows
Why do you do this? The moment I saw a hint that Windows 10 was possibly going to be shit, I was already dual booting to learn how to use Linux. Because of this, I haven't had to deal with any of Windows 10's bullshit. I don't understand why you can whine about Windows every single day, yet still use it.
>>59891644
Literally the only people using Windows are gamers who use their PC's for 95% gaming and 5% shitposting when a game is patching or they've played for 18 hours straight and are bored
>>59891690
Can do both with a good VM setup while using linux as your primary OS until Vulkan support kicks into full gear.
No OS alone would prevent spying but at the very least the heavy handed windows bullshit would be contained and you can shitpost while it updates.
>>59891644
because I hate everything about how linux functions, and the people who make linux don't see any of the issues as issues.

slowing down?
It doesn't apply anymore
>>59891411
Depends what you do with it too, had a q6600 and went to an i5-3570k, did seem quite a bit quicker, but when I did some video transcoding it was a lot faster. I kinda want to get a new PC, but it's hard to justify it (new video card or even new SSD would probably help more it seems). Maybe if I did more video stuff it would be worth it.

Windows once again proven to be a NSA botnet. Install gentoo

Even more reason to use Windows 10.

looks like your shit JUST got fucked up family
debian 9 stable when my dudes
>tfw too retarted to upgrade kernel
>>59890710
it works pretty good already, its frozen so it wont get upgraded really, it gets bug fixes etc. now mostly, you can pretty safely use stretch already
i dont understand the post completely though, if only a newer kernel is enough for you and you are on jessie, add backports to your sources.list and install a newer kernel from there
>>59890749
no no obviously ive already gotten to the motion of upgrading the kernel using the backports known, but some things i have dont work properly like virtualbox or nvidia's proprietary drivers, and i am too retarded to make it work
>>59890710
Ask in the fglt thread, it's not a particularly complicated task but I'm not familiar with debian and wouldn't want to lead you astray. Or just wait, it's up to you.
Anyone got a list of Windows 7 compatible programs that will keep working after 2020?

Virtualbox and Linux
I see that there are videos of it working, but I would like to know how well it works.
Is one HDMI to composite converter better than another? Is it better to get one that doesn't need power (like the radioshack one pictured) or one that needs power? Is there one that does s-video?
I would like it for two reasons:
1. I frequently visit and stay at an elderly family members house to watch over them now and then, help them with shopping, etc. They only have the older CRT's in their house.
2. I want to stream and am too cheap to buy an HDMI capture card, but primarily because I don't know which one is good for 1080/60. I do have a composite/s-video capture card and an HDMI splitter, however.
I also saw that radioshack has an HDMI to component converter, how well do those work? I'm certain that those can output 1080p.
Any suggestions?
Remember that s-video is way better than compostite video
Also, composite=/=component
Usually it goes like this
Composite<svideo<=component
But on old shitty CRT it may look the same, and old TV were usually something around 520p, so everything above will look as bad as 520p
>>59890471
thanks! I know that component is different from composite, I just know that component could give me a progressive signal.
>>59890353
>I want to stream
just buy a shitty chinese media player for $20.
they all come with composite out.
