Best freeware that can compete with Microsoft Word/Office in terms of features. I don't care if it looks ancient. Running Windows 10 currently but I'm also building a budget Linux box. inb4 online editors like Google docs that are features-lite as hell.

I can use google just fine, but the advice I've gotten here on /g/ has never failed me.

I think the 470 is generally the best value card. I like my 1050 Ti though.
>>
>>59956771
It's too weak for it's price point. 1060 or 570 is still a better deal.
>>
>>59956843
Cheapest 1060 cost 210$ here and that is 3G version

It is quite step up in price,you can as well just buy 480 that is 205$ here for 4g
222$ 8G

I have 1920x1080 monitor,so I m not quite sure
I guess that is 1080p gaming? I'm getting lost in all that 4k talk 2200talk...

Ya, just get an onion and shove it up your ass, then you become an Onion Router.

Make sure you stick an ethernet cable in it first, it's harder to connect when the Onion is in your asshole.

It will automattically pick up your voice if you talk deeply.

Also, Fuck off, we aren't your tech support.

Sup /g/

I was hoping to use IFTTT (If This Then That) to launch a Deezer Flow playlist or the Spotify equivalent (if it exists) but I can't seem to find any IFTTT actions that would let me do this.

Any of you guys have any ideas?

Also, smartphone automation thread I guess.

IFTTT is a cancer.

They actually encourage their partner companies to only open the API to them and not anybody else.

What I'm trying to do here is quite simple.

I have a Bluetooth speaker in my kitchen, and I like to listen to music from my Smartphone on the speaker while I work in there.

It's a bit cumbersome to have to turn on Bluetooth / pair with the speaker / launch my music app / start playing / turn volume up every time.

So I'd like to buy an Amazon Dash button, stick it wherever, and when I press it, everything I described earlier takes place automatically.

The only roadblock is that you can't just start a web streaming service playlist that easily, it seems.

Since lately you've been on a anti-whiteboard questions tangent, here's your chance to make it right.

I will probably have to do a series of interviews and I want to test candidates for minimum knowledge of computer stuff. I don't care that you know Dijkstra's algorithm by heart because a) it has been implemented better than you could ever do it and b) you can always google it and find answers by people who teach this stuff for a living. Here's what I have in mind:

>cs challenge
Either fizzbuzz under n or sum of all primes under n. They're very simple problems that you should be able to solve in 20 minutes. I won't give a shit about details (oh, you forgot to start this iterator at 1 to avoid division-by-0, we'll be in touch), but I do care that for example you break/return as soon as you find that one number isn't prime. But honestly, if the overall idea makes sense, you made it.

>shell challenge
Find all files that start with a date in the 2017_04_18 format and end in .json, or given a bunch of text files, find all that contain a certain e-mail address. This is the sort of thing you'll have to do, companies usually have poor organization skills and it's important that you don't scour 20.000 folders by hand looking for something.

I'll also be posting solutions to simple whiteboard questions.

Fizzbuzz, braindead-easy version:
#include <stdio.h>
#define MAX 100

int main(void) {
int i;
for (i=0; i<MAX; i++) {
if (i%15 == 0)
printf("fizzbuzz\n");
else if (i%3 == 0)
printf("fizz\n");
else if (i%5 == 0)
printf("buzz\n");
else
printf("%d\n", i);
}
}
>>
Sum of all primes, a bit harder. Only optimization is that I only check for division modulus of numbers up to half the number I'm considering and use a function to return 0 as soon as I find a number greater than 2 that divides it.
#include <stdio.h>
#define MAX 100
int isPrime(int n);

int main(void) {
int sum = 0;
int n;
for(n=2; n<MAX; n++) {
if(isPrime(n)) {
sum += n;
}
}
printf("%d\n", sum);
}

int isPrime(int n) {
int j, half;
half = (n%2==0.0 ? n/2 : (n+1)/2);
for(j=2; j<=half; j++) {
if(n%j == 0.0) {
return 0;
}
}
return 1;
}

BTW the original issue was that my phone would turn off when unplugged and then one time it shut off and wouldn't turn on

>File another RMA
>Send it in
>Get email from warranty department Easter Sunday afternoon

I don't see email because they sent it on Easter Sunday and I am with family

>pay up
>Check email today
>"Give us the value you of your phone in 48 hours or we send your phone back"

I called them and they said they won't do an incomplete repair, so they can't fix just the power issue, unless I pay $128 for them to fix both issues. But I was told that because this has happened twice that I can just a replacement. When I called today they said it doesn't say replacement on my RMA file. I have screenshots of the tech support chat that said I could get a replacement. Have any of you /g/uys dealt with Asus RMA service? What do?

I write most of my in either python or c.
pwntools is really really nice python, but most kernel exploits are best in c.
I have never used c#, but if you need the low level flexiblity to do your exploit, c is probably best.

Who said anything about malware? I was talking about how I write exploits. Maybe someone will use my exploits for malware, but I'm not writing the malware.

I'm looking for info about long range wifi antenna, I bought some usb wlan card with unpluging antenna RP-SMA.

I don't know which type I should use, Yagi? Plate?

>>59954851
In general you need a directional antenna on both ends. You could pick up their signals, but not have two way.
>>
>>59954908
so I need omnidirectional antenna?
>>
>>59955043
no, directional is still mandatory.

>>59954908
directional antennas have gain on both transmitting and receiving.
directional on both ends is clearly preferable but not viable for mooching free WiFi like in OP's plan.

Directional will still be much better than without though.
