Any second-hand exchange site. I got an Olympia Traveller (same model that Jünger had) for £5 off Gumtree.

You'll have to slow down your typing speed - typewriters tend to jam when you go too fast. I recommend a shorthand typewriter, or you can enter the modern age and get a "computer". If you ask me, they'll never catch on.

The best is a matter of taste. All Linux distros are essentially the same. If you're a traditionalist, you might like Slackware. If you just want things done, perhaps Fedora or Debian. If you're a neet with delusions of grandure, Gentoo,

There's two types of Mastodon instances, censored ones that are basically hipster twitter, and Japanese ones that are full of lolicon, which twitter bans. They don't federate with each other.

I always thought the idea was very interesting. The lead dev on the project has a pretty impressive github presence. I personally haven't used mastodon but its basically what you get if you took the outsourced authentication of something like Plex and used it for social media. I can see it being great for small communities wanting to keep their shit separate from the volatile sea that is normal social media.

It falls flat when the when compared to its competition when you think about it though, but I still think it's neat.

If your laptop has a Synaptics trackpad, it's shit.

>TL;DR – be wary of buying a Lenovo laptop or any other laptop that uses a Synaptics touch pad until Synaptics ships a fixed driver. Their driver has a memory leak and they have a battery-life bug that causes Windows to repeat the same system-scan once a second. So far Synaptics has failed to respond so the wait for a fix must be assumed to be infinite.

There seem to have been more issues like this in the past. That being said, some were the fault of filter drivers (some kind of driver plugin?)

Does this shit even work? Been searching for 2h now.
I stopped using Windows when saw the first Windows 10 popup. I only have done some small things like configuring my mouse so haven't bothered to update it.
Now getting new Ryzen PC and might use Windows more for games.
I just wanted to try install USB drivers for Ryzen and update Windows. Would it be just easier to update to Windows 10? Atleast Windows 10 can be prepared to be moved to new system.
Problem is that I have dualboot and fixing Grub while Linux is encrypted is bit harder and I have never done that. Does anyone know if upgrading Windows breaks grub like reinstall does?

How to use Windows 7
If you need to update your drivers, use DriverEasy
If you need to install updates just install them manually from Microsoft's website
If you can't check for updates you used a shit Windows loader because you sure didn't pay for your copy, nobody does
