So what are you doing exactly?

3 VMs open, some adobe sw, visual studio, and gta5 minimized? I don't think that would even be enough to crack it.

Mine finally died after 7 years of faithful service. Will there ever be a mouse as good as this one produced again?
33 posts and 6 images submitted.
>>
>>59973789
you sound as retarded as someone jerking off a trackball, the only reason this mouse was ever popular is because most people who bought it were upgrading from trackballs or $5 usb mice

objectively shit mouse comparatively, you can't even say it was good for its time because it was 3x the cost of other equal/better options

>Bitmovin will showcase the first ever AV1 Live Streaming demo, delivering 1080p playback at 1.5Mbps in broadcast quality, reducing storage and CDN costs by up to 10x, at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 24-27, 2017 (booth SU9007CM).
>As a member of the Alliance, Bitmovin will collaborate with industry leaders in pursuit of an open and royalty-free AOMedia Video codec, AV1. Bitmovin has actively worked in video and streaming standardization and has driven standards from inception to implementation. Bitmovin’s founders co-created the MPEG-DASH streaming standard used by Netflix, YouTube, and many others, and is responsible for over 50% of peak U.S. internet traffic.

Daily reminder that AV1 will crush HEVC and leave no survivors on the codec field. Vivat!

>>
But is it going to look like dogshit, like youtube's """1080p"""?
>>
>>59973750
Au contraire. That's the point of this Alliance. They're basically ramming all the newest ideas about encoding from various groups into one final royalty-free solution.

MPEG days are numbered.
>>
>>59973750
To be fair it's mostly the uploader's fault for not uploading CRF 0 video. You can already get acceptable streaming quality at 1.5mbps 2-pass abr with 10-bit HEVC so AV1 already sounds DOA.

Is my monitor dying?

Never had a single problem and out of nowhere this happened, there's a shadow on half screen and everything is darker.

The monitor must be something like 5 years old?

I turned it off and on and it was fine again but when i did it again it went darker.

the backlight is like a bunch of leds illuminating a panel that diffuses the light from all of the leds

The fastest you can afford

With Streaming services like Netflix, Amazon, HBO, growing in market share, how likely is it that cable will be replaced in the near future?

Online streaming services is how the NSA collects data so they can later get the chance to assassinate you. Pirate the shows instead.

WiFi will never be as fast as cable due to interference. Even as WiFi gets faster over the years, wired is getting much faster.

Cable isn't going anytime soon.

Hi /g/,

I want to create ~200 "clones" of a single webpage. These clones will be almost identical. Only a few words each will be replaced on every new page.

Is there a program that can achieve that goal?

The website so far is in plain html and I would prefer not switching to Wordpress or another CMS

You could use
PHP
>>
>>59973214
copy/paste

Just use a templating engine and have it replace the words you want

https://stallman.org/

He's begging for free javascript to help him connect to McDonald's wifi.

I can't stand this marxist piece of shit. He's your typical academic faggot. No consideration for anyone's pragmatic issues or reality, wants to just argue about semantics he defined himself and if you don't follow his semantics he erupts like a man child.

The GNU license is great, but the philosophy that everything should be GNU is fucking stupid as fuck. People will work on what interests them. That's good for open source. For everything else you need to give people $$$ as an incentive to improve software. Who cares if you can just copy software from one machine to the next with little effort. Can you just magically create the labor required to build the software? This is why I hate this faggot. He's marxist but doesn't want to pay programmers for their labor?

Free = free as in freedom.

You can still put a price tag on it

Linux is also heavily reliant upon its community. The ubuntu developers are paid but I haven't really read into it
