so reviews for the gtx 1060 refresh are coming today. It's basically the same as before, just with faster RAM.
funnily enough, that will put it just above the 580 in most games, just like how the regular 1060 was faster than the 480.
Will AMD ever catch a break?
Buy Nvidia if you indend to play ME:A, Sniper Elite 4 or Overwatch
Buy AMD if you prefer Hitman, Doom, Resident Evil or future titles.
Nvidia products are specifically tailored for a consumer with an abysmally shitty taste in everything.
>>59982434
>Sniper Elite 4
that's AMD dx12 game, what?
There's no refresh, Volta is coming out in a month
Tfw my brand new 1080ti is heavily bottlenecked by my 4790k even at 4.7ghz. I can't even get over 100 flps on my 144hz 1080p monitor. I at least expected that much. Thinking of selling the gear and going back to my old hardware, as no matter what I do the new stuff performs worse.
Wait so your solution is to downgrade one instead of upgrading the other?
My G3258 bottlenecks my RX 470. What's the cheapest cpu that won't bottleneck my GPU?

You are doing something wrong

>>59982288
Quite shill seeking, moron.
You might even interpret this graph as saying haskel users don't spend their time copy pasting solutions nor asking people to do their homework during working hours OF ONE PARTICULAR COUNTRY.
Functional languages are useful because they teach you an extremely relevant paradigm and how to create side-effect-free functions.
Every comp sci course in the world essentially needs to convince a board of directors somewhere that they have a well reasoned solution to teaching their students a functional language such as haskel.
>>59982345
>and how to create side-effect-free functions
But you can do that without resolving to functional programming.
>>59982770
you can't when the core language and/or standard library does side effect
Hey /g/, I know you aren't my personal tech support however...
I'm in some dire need of understanding and support.
See, I was on a vacation for a few months and when I came home, my computer started acting very slow. Mind you, I own a very high end rig, so this is pretty odd for it to stutter in this way.
I plugged in my External HDD to load up some files, but instead of reading it as a Removable Drive, it says it's a Local Disk. What's wierder is if I load websites like Tom's Hardware, it crashes my process. Same with Steam; download a game - it crashes.
I can't seem to access the Disk Management like others have suggested online, and I don't know if it's the computer or just the External HDD. What I'd also love to know is what even caused for this but one step at a time, right?
The picture above should give some idea as a visual to help understand. To clarify, clicking on the Local Disk will cause for the whole Explorer to crash.

Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro
Bumping for the sake of emergency. I have some incredibly important things saved on that drive /g/.
Old thread: >>59976956
What are you working on /g/?
>OOP
nth for re-implementing haskell in pascal
QUICK! WRITE A PROGRAM THAT RUNS TWO THREADS. ONE OF WHICH HAS TO BE RUNNING ON CPU0 AND THE OTHER ON CPU2.
Is AMD going to compete in the self driving car market? Or are they going to let Nvidia partner with all the major car manufacturers?

let's make this shit happen for good
https://adnauseam.io/
the whole adblock blocking is the last nail in the coffin
Out of the X No' of click we received, only Y returned the sum of all prime numbers under two billion.
Sorry goy, you're no getting the AD money. They were using adnauseam to simulate clicks, and not running the JS we have on our page.
>>59981918
This is legit one of the best ways to fight the botnet. Make all the system unreliable to make money from and it will crash.
pasting some info, so maybe I catches your eyes
>As online advertising becomes ever more ubiquitous and unsanctioned, AdNauseam works to complete the cycle by automating Ad clicks universally and blindly on behalf of its users. Built atop uBlock Origin, AdNauseam quietly clicks on every blocked ad, registering a visit on ad networks' databases. As the collected data gathered shows an omnivorous click-stream, user tracking, targeting and surveillance become futile.
it's an extension for the browser
>tfw you want to get a 30" 16:10 2560x1600 monitor

You can transmit your poctures to the other storage while deleting your photo from your camera.
>android phone
>401 mb free space
>everything is perfectly fine
>some app grew its cache by 2 mb
>399 mb free space
>NOT ENOUGH FREE SPACE TO PROPERLY FUNCTION PLEASE DELETE YOUR SHIT
>undismissable notification in the drawer
>all other notifications stop working
>phone literally unusable
>clear app cache
>401 mb free space
>everything is perfectly fine again
What the fuck is wrong with this piece of shit operating system, holy fuck.
>>59981792
it's almost like that's what happens when you use outdated versions of software
It's probably for swap or it's just cache needed for operations
Either way, android has callbacks for low space in the API, so some apps act differently when memory is low
It's just a threshold, don't act like a little bitch going 70 on a 60 and complaining that no, they weren't going that fast and even then it's not a problem.
>>59981792
Only google play complains about that
It doesn't happen when using apks
Just use yalp store
Should i upgrade from 2x4gb ram to 4x4gb or is 16gb just a meme?

If I'm torrenting from my laptop to a smart tv throgh an HDMI cord, does the tv store any of the information?

Yeah it stores all the frames and sound.

i have a i5 2500k in a non-oc mobo, should i bother buying a i7 3770s for 60 bucks?
Buy a 3930k, theyre dirt cheap now.
Greatest choice ive ever made PC-wise
>>59981620
To how much can you OC a 3930k?
>>59981429
You can either buy a new one or try your hand at overcloacking it, picture related.
I wish I could but the Motherboard I have won't let me.
