Arch is a joke distro which is made to teach schoolkids CLI, it's never employed in production by serious companies. Every developed distro has a minimal installer up to installing an OS from a chroot environment, for example Ubuntu Core or debootstrap, schoolkids don't know about it, they think that there's only a GUI installer in Ubuntu and Debian.
Gentoo is a professional distro with a high level of flexibility through the robust established compilation toolchain, the unified interface for compilation flags in the portage system, good tools for kernel compilation. For example Google uses Gentoo as a base for Chrome OS.
To cut long story short, Arch is for pajeets who can't manage their time but who want to show that they know CLI, Gentoo is for professional engineers who want a reliable and flexible system.

Looks like you bought a shit brand. The loosest fitting caps I own are some cheap ABS caps from a $100 Leopold keyboard that I bought four years ago. They're loose enough to be easily removed by hand, but even then, they're nowhere loose enough to fall off when I type. What shit did you even buy?

2) With the right distro, there are seemingly limitless possibilities for customization. It is a great activity to focus your autism at when you aren't watching chinese cartoons.

My tax return is about $660 USD. What GTX 1080 should I get? I do want the fastest for my money but also something silent as well. Upgrading from an R9 390 cause I'm tired of the piece of shit LITERALLY using over 300 watts.

Too lazy to link anything but I spent a few hours autistically googling because I also bought one recently. Found a big sale after 1080ti dropped.
MSI Gaming or EVGA SC seem to be most popular / reliable choices.
I think the Zotac turbonigger edition is technically the fastest out of the box.
I believe the MSI gaming series was the quietest / 2nd fastest.
EVGA SC was the best cheaper one.
Didn't bother looking into the obscure brands that I wouldn't be able to buy anyways.
