LTSB just doesn't have windows store, Edge or cortana.

Intelshills on suicide watch, IPC of Broadwell-EX and Skylake-EX is the same.
There's a slight increase in cryptography performance due to fixed function hardware that Zen already, but FP performance regressed slightly.
You're looking at QS samples, so don't expect much to change unless the EFI/BIOS for this thing is also unfinished like for Zen.

Why do American companies hire so many Pajeets? Is there any way to slow down Indian hires somehow? Do you think software might improve in quality once Indian influence is gone?
>>60016100
>95% of engineers in india
>in india
>american companies literally just suck all competent engineers out of the country, leaving nothing but the poo behind
Companies only care about saving money and short term reward. Combine with the fact that your average manager is clueless about tech and thinks you're a genius for using ctrl-P to print something.
>>60016124
>Implying we're not sucking the poo in as well
Do people still pay usenet providers in 2017?
Image related is probably one of the biggest ones.
>>60016074
>Image related is probably one of the biggest ones.
I smirked. Nobody uses usenet providers with download caps, otherwise what's the use of paying?
>>60016097
I didn't say they were good.
People were praising Usenet for the downloads of unauthorized copies, so I gave it a try. Couldn't find anything worthwhile (music mostly). Semi-public trackers or sometimes even public ones have more stuff.
Just purchased this puppy what am I in 4.
Aspire f 15
>purchasing acer instead of a second-hand thinkpad
What are you, casual?

Why does nobody research their shit before emptying their wallets?

Great day for American engineers! Trump signed the executive order restricting H1B abuse. BTFO liberal controlled tech companies, you can't not hire me now.
Seriously though, the quality of work over the last 8 years have seriously fallen. It's time to hire american and buy american!
>>60015826
The fuck are you on about? You weren't hired because you're a moron, meanwhile Pajeet is a skilled, hard working employee who can get shit done.

The mission of /ptg/ is to promote the highest possible standards of tracker disservice by providing members with opportunities for shitposting development, by recognizing tracker drama competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.

I need help with my desktop. I use Debian with cinnamon and there are following issues:
1)Sometimes when I log out my icons get displaced randomly. Application icons were set in 2 rows, after log out this is what I saw
2)Icons captions overlap with each other. See home, backup_important_2 and notes folder. How can I set value for text wrapping and value for truncating too long text?
3)Are desktop icons served by file manager? If so how I can check which is used e.g. Nemo our Nautilus
4)Any better alternatives? I want to get as much windows xp/windows 7 desktop usability as it is possible.

Who here /awesome/ post screenshots of you using the best window manager, and discuss what you like or dislike about it !
I'm currently using i3wm, should I switch? Is awesomewm's i3status equivalent more "complete"? i3status is lacking, in my opinion (yes, I know py3status and conky and others exist)
>>60015707
i3 dosen't let you move windows anywhere right ?
I only tried it once and that really turned me off to it.
>>60015707
>i3status
oh and to answer your question, id say the status bar framework is extremely well made in awesomewm.

Ubuntu if you want ot just werk, Arch if you are power user, using Debian is straight retarded
>>60015513
>is it stable?
Yes
>is it secure?
Secure enough for normal desktop use
>is it usable for normie and non normie stuff alike?
Yes
>is it fast?
Depends on your desktop environment, but yes.
>is it good looking?
Depends on your personal preference, choice of desktop environment and so on.
I personally use Ubuntu LTS with Xfce at work, and it works fine there. I also play games on it using Steam.
But at home, I'm completely fallen in love with macOS for day to day use.
