So what is the best free antivirus in your opinion?
none.
antivirus is a scam that only makes your system less secure.

I sometimes use virustotal website to check on files that's all.

Inspired by LISP state machines and command line I decided to create an OS built around the node.js command line, you'll be able to do things likeif(User.privilege["EL0"]) {
Devices.VGA.pixelAt(250,250,FF); //write a white pixel at the coords x 250 and y 250
}
I plan to have also POSIX and Node libraries compatibility, and UI windows in console using framebuffer.
What do you think?
>>60033091
I would only use it if the kernel is nodejs on bare metal
Not.loonox
>>60033161
that's exactly the idea of the project, it'll use an exokernel that only prevents race conditions / illegal access
>>60033192
Sounds like my fruit fake os.
Mind you should think about x86 as well. Perhaps mips in order to get hipsters on board
>Literally the best phone out right now
>b-b-b-but the fingerprint sensor...is in...a spot that feels weird kinda....
Do you guys ever get tired of literally searching for the smallest thing to complain about? You actively try to find the smallest flaw of anything that is popular and good just so you feel like you're special and unique. It's disgusting really. This is how I behaved when I was a teenage. You're all adults now.
If you're paying $700+ for a phone that is supposed to be the best the company can come out with at the moment you'd expect that they'd invest some amount of time and money seeing what would be practical. Samsung is honestly retarded for throwing that bixby button in as well. Hopefully the note 8 isn't a mess.
>>60032797
>You should NOT complain about things you don't like in your $1000 product
Off yourself

Frankly I'm looking forward to upgrading from an iPhone 6 to a Galaxy S8 and I fully back the fingerprint sensor comments. Below would have made it distinct in location from the camera and equally usable regardless of which hand the phone is in. Right of the camera invites a lot of camera mistouches and greatly favors use of the phone in the right hand (pointer finger ideally located to press sensor on right hand versus ring finger when phone is in left hand). The iris scanning capability mitigates but doesn't completely make up for this.
It's clearly a design compromise where Samsung had intended to fit the fingerprint sensor under the screen but couldn't make it work in time.
Is git good?
Git good
no but we just have to live with it
Yes.
Is there some sort of recommended folder structure for projects as uploaded to GitHub?
Or is it completely individually / random?
Might depend on the field.

your using arch linux
you updated arch so you probably fucked the whole OS

Give me one good reason why Swift is not the best programming language in existence
Shitty unofficial windows compiler
Optionals are half-baked and clearly weren't well thought out during creation
Initialization and function names are often retarded/different just for the sake of being different
>.count for the length of an array
>just call it length or size for fucks sake, well-established conventions
Other than little things like that it's actually a nice language. Fixes nearly every major issue with shit like Python. And this is coming from someone that hates Apple
>>60031631
how can I use this on windows 10 natively?

https://arstechnica.co.uk/business/2017/04/google-search-fact-check/
When will the /v/edditors who are against privacy leave this board?
took long enough; this is nice until one of the millions of searches gives a deviation of the truth, to which people will be outraged and convinced google is trying to brainwash false information, and then go running into the arms of everyone with the same ideas, following them blindly and holding this new leader as the ultimate authority, because this new leader consistently repeats that everyone except himself and who he agrees with are liars.
but until this becomes a big thing, this fact checking is nice.
Time to move to Bing. Has better search results anyway.

HAHAHAHHAH
Hey /g/ I recently bought a 7890k cpu, I bought it to crossfire with an r7 250.
I can get a 8350 bundle for really cheap from a friend
Would I even see a difference?
>>60031075
r7 250 is shit
8350 would blow over that APU maymay even tho its housefire AyyMD material
just a buy a r7 260x or a 750ti used for the love of god
>>60031139
you cant use the spoiler text correctly why should I listen to you?
>>60031139
The 7890k has better single threaded performance, why would it blow it out of the water?
do you even know anything?
Maybe I'm late to the party but is Youtube basically cancer at this point? All I see is click bait, conspiracy theorists, and video game kids trying to cash in. What are the alternatives?

Well, you're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.
No, it's just the consequence of more people having access to the internet, posting videos, and being able to automate and share their lives. You're not going to size down the pool of content without going to another website, and you're not going to make it specific unless you post a specific query.
hi /g/
I wanna stop being a useless piece of shit
I've been thinking about learning a programming language, with my eye on Java currently
does anyone have any recommended resources?
I know I can just google it, but I figured checking with you guys first could be helpful

>>60030756

>>60030756

Well you'll google a shit ton in learning a language, don't see why you wouldn't start now.
