this can't be accurate. Tons of Indians use Android, and they rape women all the time. I imagine a lot of these pajeet rapes are going unreported.

how do you chose and store your passwords?
i have a memorized random 20 character password for keepass and generate random passwords for every login with this program (tfw to dumb to shell)
it to paranoid?

With Ada.Text_IO, Ada.Numerics.Discrete_Random, Ada.Command_Line;
Use Ada.Text_IO;

procedure Randpass is
Arg : Integer := Integer'Value (Ada.Command_Line.Argument (1));
subtype Random_Range is Integer range 33 .. 126;
package Rand is new Ada.Numerics.Discrete_Random (Random_Range);
use Rand;
Generator : Rand.Generator;
Num : Random_Range;
Pass : String (1 .. Arg);
begin
Rand.Reset (Generator);
while Arg /= 0 loop
Pass (Arg) := Character'Val (Random (Generator));
Arg := Arg - 1;
end loop;
Put_Line (Pass);
end Randpass;

use like
randpass 20

>>

My passwords are sentences with a couple symbols and numbers so it's way easier than the typical password format kids in school used to use.
When I get to over 15 passwords I'll use the assistant methods.

I used to use the same password for a couple places while back in school but not anymore.

I think I should upgrade my router.

Would it be a good idea to just build my own, or should I buy one?

Build one if you've already got parts and shit lying around and don't mind increased power consumption. Otherwise just buy an off-the-shelf one.

It really doesn't matter.
>>
Buy one of these little PfSense boxes
>>
Just find a cheap computer, either lying around or online with a NIC that's fast enough for your needs, along with an access point that fits your requirements. Stick pfSense on the computer and grab a switch, and you'll be good to go.

What the FUCK happened. Absolutely no additional functionality was added, except fucking ads or banners maybe. Fucking hacks bloating the shit out of their crappy software. This should be punishable by death. I'm not even space constrained, I just HATE bloating.

Yes, its "bullshit", but developers arent limited so much by space anymore so they take advantage of it. If you don't want bloat why don't you make your own clients for these apps?

I recently purchased an LED light strip and eachof the LEDs is addressable. I've figured out how to communicate with the strip and turn each one of them on including the RGB and brightness values.

I'd like to make a visualizer for music so the strip lights up as I'm playing the music... kinda like all those visualizers you see in every music program.

I'd like to do something like pic related where the brightness of the LED is proportional to the intensity of music at various frequencies.

Anyone know what that stuff's called or how to program it? How's that done? I know fuck-all about audio programming so any help is appreciated.

It's Linux. But I can boot Windows too.

I think I know how to capture a stream from mpd, for example.

What I'm more interested in is how to "convert" PCM/WAV data into that visualizer thing...
>>
>>60054085
What you are referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.
There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

What is the objectively best and most recommended way to declare the main method in C++? Here are three different ways, out of many others:

int main()
{
}

int main()
{
return 0;
}

int main(int argc,  char** argv)
{
return 0;
}
7 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Trick question; the return statement is not part of the declaration, and neither are the braces.

int main(int argc, char **argv)
>>
This is best:
main;
It can compile.

I remember in 2008 there was a bug in the nvidia driver for Ubuntu that turned off the fan so the card made a little smoke then the screen went off. I couldnt play video games for a while or use compiz because of that. I was 12 at the time, I still won't use nvidia products because ATI/AMD never caused me anything like this and is more reliable.

>wants to use an app on a daily basis

Listen fags, I understand not paying $120 for Windows because Microsoft is an evil Jewish company, but are you really going to get upset if some guy who creates a small business out of an app asks for a dollar for an ad-free app with (sometimes) more features?

Pirating media is totally ok because its just video and audio files that are distributed through volunteer networks. Nobody actually works on improving them after a customer buys them, so they are fair game. Software however, is a completely different thing. You use software all the time instead of viewing it once or twice, and the developer actually pushes updates to fix it and add more value.

When did /g/ get so hostile to independent devs who actually work on a useful piece of software to make it better even after you buy it with the change in your couch cushions?

Even if you don't believe in paying for closed source apps, you should donate to open source development. If everybody on /g/ donated a dollar to every piece of open source software they use, open source software would be in a much better position today.
