buying a new phone soon, cant decide on apple or android. help me on this
>inb4 apple is for normies
>inb4 android is for neckbeards
>inb4 all other obvious cons/negs to either type of phone

The main reason im struggling is because i want stuff like the ability to download apps from the internet, but also an a good os out of the box. Im not too into fiddling with shit as i have with my current android to achieve sub par aesthetics.

Help me out for a second /g/

Basically, my PC is kaput. Through the process of elimination i've figured out that it's my mobo/cpu, can't exactly tell.

However, all the items were bought less than 2 years ago (about 1.8). I think literally everything is under warranty, since they're all 3+ years i believe if you contact the manufacturer

Should i just send literally everything in for replacement? Mobo, cpu, case and all? I have to wait for a new mobo anyway so they'll all arrive around the same time and i'd just rebuild my pc at that point but with new parts.

They don't even check parts for failure do they? I sent in my MSI card and they literally didnt even check (it wasnt the problem anyway), they just sent me a new one, so i figure none of the retailers will actually check if the parts work. Is this a retarded plan or does this make sense?

tldr: one part is broken, but everything is under warranty, should i just send everything in and build a new pc with new parts cuz why not?

Thanks /g/.

>>
>>60075191
You could but if you can't even diagnose your own issue you shouldn't be allowed to build a PC or be on this board anyway
>>>/v/
>>
>>60075221

I'm 90% sure it's the mobo. I ran a barebones setup without case or anything, psu-cpu-mobo-memory and same shit.

It's a boot loop issue, only reason i'm very slightly suspicious of the cpu is because a) the mobo speaker is not reporting any errors and b) i can at least see the bios screen for a second before it reboots.

But yeah i'm not some kind of tech pro, i have enough iq to build a pc since its basically just fitting pieces together but that's about it.

Is there any research into how many bugs are introduced per line of code in a serious project?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I mean, you could always write a bash script that crawls random github pages, count line numbers in the project, and divide total errors / line count and do statistics on them yourself if you want, and then publish a paper on it.

If you went through the time to do it, I'd read the paper.
>>
>>60074566
It's generally safe to assume the bigger the project the more likely a major bug is to be there.
>>
>>60075345
Yeah but by how much? Is it a uniform linear increase or is it exponential?
How much is the average bug count? and line count?
How much variance or gaps are there between lines of code in general? Or bugs in general?
How much does developer count affect this?
How much does repo popularity affect this?
How much does the line addition / subtraction per day affect this?
What is the aggregate line and bug count, graphed over time?
What is the rate of errors per day of a currently large repo since its birth?
What is the rate of errors per day adjusted with popularity bias of a currently large repo since its birth?
How much does popularity affect known bug counts?
How many bugs are fixed before a bug report is made?
How does popularity increase or decrease that number?
Pretend I repeated all these questions again but asked how programming language affected this.

FAQ
>What is TempleOS?
See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT7yvaGN0ZU [Embed] [Embed] --TempleOS (formerly J
Operating System, SparrowOS and LoseThos) is a biblical themed lightweight
operating system created over the span of a decade by programmer Terry A.
Davis.
>How did TempleOS start?
Development for TempleOS began in 2003 after Davis suffered from a series of
manic episodes that left him briefly hospitalized for mental health issues.
Davis is a former atheist who believes that he can "talk with God" and that God
told him the operating system he built was God's official temple. According to
Davis TempleOS is of 'Divine' intellect due to the inspired nature of the code.
According to Davis, God said to create the operating system with 640x480, 16
colors display and a single audio voice. The operating system was coded in a
programming language developed by Davis in C/C++ called "HolyC". The OS runs a
file system called "Red Sea".
>What can TempleOS do?
TempleOS deliberately has no network support. It runs 8-bit ASCII with graphics
in source code and has a 2D and 3D graphics library, which run at 640x480 VGA
with 16 colors. The OS contains numerous embedded biblical references including
a program called AfterEgypt which allows users to "communicate with God"
through an oracle.

Hello /g/,

I would like to go all open-source with my HTC One M7, but as the phone is on Verizon, I cannot obtain S-Off without paying for Sunshine.

In the spirit of RMS, how do I get around this fee, despite having the latest hboot and factory rom? All google results have turned to paying for it, and I am unable to justify that.
