You can't work on Unix-y shit from a text editor running in Windows. You have to work on it from a text console-based editor like Vim running inside the WSL bash shell.

What's the point then?

yes you can - by default all your windows drives are mounted under /mnt/<windows drive letter> and you can find the root directory on your windows drive3 under users\<user name>\appdata\local\lxss\rootfs\

you wont find network shares or be able to mount any network resources tho, which is a majopr downside for me

Damage control, after the project astoria. Also this replaces the SFU. At least some people will use their *nix compatibility layer.

Is anybody's VPN been very slow lately?

I use NordVPN, and it's been slow as fuck since the FCC ruling allowing ISPs to track and sell user data created a wave of normies suddenly jumping on the VPN bandwagon.

Are you too experiencing slow down on your VPN provider, or is it just mine?

AirVPN here, nothing's changed. The servers that were slow have remained slow, the ones that were fast are still fast.

I'm trying airvpn. Which ones are considered fast?

I don't want to know how to actually hack things or learn to do it. But it is a common theme on TV these days.

What's a good analogy for how it works?
What are different types of hacking?
What are the main techniques used?

Hey /g/. So I was on this problem at 42.us.org, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get it to work. I thought about trying to go left and get the first star, but turning on an orange is a no-no. I tried doing a 180 from the start and turning mostly left at blue squares, then turning around at the green square and following back but I couldn't get the logic for turning right at the blue squares after hitting the green square at least once. I also thought about traversing forward and getting the star in the middle first, but I ran into the same problem when needing to turn left after hitting the green square over there instead of turning right on the blue squares. Anyone have an easy solution that I'm probably missing? I ended up failing the evaluation at this step.
14 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Oh, and logic starts with F1. Each command arrow indicates the movement of the arrow on the board, the F1-F3 commands call their respective functions. And coloring squares in the function area via color commands means those commands are executed when the arrow on the board is present over a matching color square.
>>
Also, FYI the Evaluation is 2 hours so I got to this problem in the latter half of the evaluation. Don't bother with trying to solve it on the site to help me if you want to reply in time. Just try solving it with the image.

After a lot of trying and reading, installing, sweat and blood.
This is what I figured out.
How important: 1-3, 1 is highest.

Windows:
Pros:
> High userbase.(3)
> Best driver support.(1)
> Best gaming platform.(2)
> Most third-party programs/tools.(2)
> High-quality software.(1)
> User-friendly.(2)
> Have flagship programs.(2)
> It just works.(1)
> Good file-manager.(2)

Cons:
> Resouce heavy OS.(2)
> Expensive, OS and programs.(3)
> No freedom, locked OS.(1)
> It comes with bloatware. xbox app etc.(3)
> Few features integrated.(1)
> Hidden and closed source-code.(1)
> Stupid default settings.(3)
> Bad window manager.(1)
> Forced restart and updates.(2)
> Company behind it.(2)

Linux:
Pros:
> Made for creators by creators.(1)
> Best terminal, especially for C and other languages. (1)
> Fast and responsive, especially window managers.(2)
> Best kernel.(2)
> Overall easy on resources.(3)
> Many different distros.(3)
> Open-source code.(1)
> Best community.(1)
> Free.(2)
> Options.(1)

Cons:
> Lack of drivers.(2)
> Lack of software, uses alternatives.(2)
> Crash and errors.(1)
> Not user-friendly.(3)
> Low userbase.(2).
> Outdated software.(1)
> Low support from some companies.(2)

Anything I have missed?

Linux/GNU doesn't need as big userbase as windows, because most people using Linux/GNU have some knownledge about computer. Can't say the same about all Windows-users.
>>
>>60133702

When you have to spin one advantage into three points to make Windows look reasonable.
