Cloudatcost, i got on the hype train when it was posted here a year or two ago, they are cheap for what you get but I would not recomend them to anyone now. I just use mine as a seedbox as they are not very stable.

Vultr have hosting in Sydney, so I chose their $2.5/month plan for some small websites, so far so good.

Digital ocean is nice too, but it is $5/month and was too much for what i needed.

I'm using online.net dedicated servers, I think they are 10 euro a pop.
Don't really recall what cpu they have, but it's good enough. 4GB ram and 500GB HDD, but the deal why I got them is 3.5Gbps Internet connection (1Gbps guaranteed).
Use them for hosting mirrors, massscannig and seed boxes

Most of my music has been from ripped CDs using Exact Audio Copy. It satisfies my autism knowing it's The Way Its Meant To Be Played :]

For some reason I'm very curious about vinyls for their dynamic range, quality and general aesthetics. Is there similar software for vinyls like EAC? My first rip I just used Audacity and made manual edits to remove noise or rumble. I felt triggered but still satisfied. I feel like this could be posted on /mu/ but they're fags.

Digital Music is a meme

Why would you listen to Emulated Sounds instead of real ones?

Its taken me a while but here is how I have defeated adblock faggots:

>All imagery on site is under images/sha-1 HASH.ext
>Generate thousands of hashes and have these symlink back to ad.js
>Randomly choose a hash from db and embed it in the script.js served to the user
>Once loaded the script chooses one of the approved elements
>Generate an ad several randomly named divs deep
>ad image is stored in exactly the same format as every other image under images/hash

Get fucked adblock users.

And faggots like OP are the reason people use ad blockers.
Most people wouldn't give half a shit about a text or image ad that doesn't disrupt the content. Hell, even a small, well compressed video without sound would be OK on desktop sites if placed properly. But if you shove shit down people's throat, they're either going to block, or they'll go somewhere else.

Alright, so I'm in the market to buy a GTX 1060 but I have no idea what to go with.

>Gigabyte GTX 1060 WF2 OC 6GB
>Gainward GTX 1060 Dual 6GB
>Gainward GTX 1060 Phoenix GS 6GB
>MSI GTX 1060 6GT OCV1
>Palit GTX 1060 Dual 6GB

Am I just largely looking at different brands and cooling efficiency here? Keep in mind I have no interest in OCing my card.

Should I go with Radeon equivalent instead?

look at clock speeds, lots of them are factory-overclocked. find the best price/performance ratio. I got an EVGA superclocked 1060 6GB last year and it still works perfectly, though there are rumors of EVGA cards overheating/exploding.
>>
>>60156242
Like anon above said look at clock speeds but unless they're OCed out of the box you won't really see much difference. Maybe couple of frames here and there. Also, some like Gigabyte model can switch to gaming mode easily.

If you have no brand loyalty you should check out XFX RX 580 8GB OC because you'll get better performance for the same price range.

So I've been playing player unknown battleground and want it to run and look better. I'm looking for a better graphics card for under $200. Think I've settled on evga geforce gtx 1050 ti for about $150. I currently have a gtx650 so really anything is an upgrade. Just looking for some input.

Computer specs:

Mobo: ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Current graphics card: EVGA GeForce GTX 650 DirectX 12 (feature level 11_0) 01G-P4-2650-KR 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W BX80637I53570K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000

Not sure about ram but I've got 16gb of ddr3

Note I bought and built this current pic basically all in 2013. So it's a tad dated. I just don't wanna get a video card that is gonna get bottlenecked
>>
>>60156192
Get an RX 480.
>>
>>60156202

The game isn't really well optimized, for instance I couldn't play it at first (same specs) without it lagging too hard and just having shit below 30 FPS.

At the moment it's mostly 60+ FPS on medium settings everything, on a 4690k @ 4.6GHz and a 480 8GB. In the areas that I get FPS drops, GPU usage also drops which makes it seem like a CPU bottleneck.

But then again, it could also be that the game is poorly optimized and you might be okay, or might not be.

>A paranoid Welsh Muslim who wore gloves while typing on his laptop, admitted being part of Islamic State, and, gasp, harbored a copy of Linux Mint, has been described as a “new and dangerous breed of terrorist.”

>Samata Ullah, 34, who also used voice modulation software to disguise his thick Welsh accent while making instructional videos about encryption, pleaded guilty to five terrorism charges at Cardiff Crown Court. He was due to be sentenced Friday afternoon.

>The former pensions administrator had bought 30 sets of cufflinks containing tiny USB sticks from eBay, the court was told. On one of those was a copy of harmless open-source operating system Linux Mint, while others contained military manuals for guided missiles, which Ullah was said to have been preparing to translate for the Islamic State terrorist organization, as reported by Court News UK.

8 out of 10 terrorists use GNU/Linux systems. If you support Open Source software you support terrorism.

I have a few questions about networking for my final in 7 hours. My professor was very kind and gave us the questions that are going to be on the test, which are mostly multiple choice. However, since IT is not my major, a few questions are eluding me. I would appreciate any help.

> 1. How many certification exams are required to become Network+ certified?

> 2. Give the four pieces of information found in a frame. (not multiple choice)

> 3. When switching from 568A to 568B the ketword (blank) reminds us to swtich (blank) wires. (I think the second blank is "the order of the")

1. No clue
2. It's probably something like destination IP, sender IP, data, and a checksum or trailer
3. Is that for rj45 cables? I forget which one you switch. I don't think it even matters anymore because virtually everything reconfigures for crossover and straight through cables automatically no matter what kind you jam in there
>>
>>60155790
Continued

> 4. A switch uses (blank) to keep track of which host/node is on which port. A cache, turnkey, lineup, or database?

> 5. A series of high-speed switches connected to each other with no computers attached (other than possible a few servers) is known as the network (blank). Infrastructure, skeleton, backbone, or spine? (I think the answer is backbone)

> 6. Given the IP address of 10.7.12.101 and a subnet mask of 255.0.0.0, identify the network portion of the IP address, host portion of the IP address, and broadcast address
>>
>>60155819
Thanks for the help! I'll check those for question number two, and for question number three yes its for rj45 cables

you should manually throttle every laptop down to maximum power usage of 30% or so unless you're doing critical processing

consumer laptops are too stupid not to kill their own fans through overuse
