How did they find something worse than Java?
now that every single ad removal method on the internet doesn't work for utorrent anymore, how do i remove those ads in the latest utorrent?
>use older version
>use a different client
NO!, i like the instant playback when i start downloading the torrent, it is only available on the latest utorrent and i will not fucking lose that amazing feature.
>>60192093
>utorrent
Stop being a stupid proprietary cuck and use something half-decent like rtorrent.
>>60192093
Pay for it.
>NO!
Okay you manchild.

This changes everything. I'm switching back to Windows.
It's unjust because it doesn't respect the user's 4 freedoms. Even if the user makes or gets a program that allows it to modify or study the code, the program still doesn't respect the user's freedom because it doesn't allow, legally, to be modified and redistributed. (Not to mention, just modifying or studying the code with third party tools may be illegal by itself, according to some licenses.)
Just seeing the code does not make a program Libre. It only means it's open source, and that's another can of worms.
On the other hand, media with DRM is not a problem as long as the DRM can be removed. That's because DRM is the unjust part of the media, not the media itself. By removing the unjust part you regain your freedom to share, copy and reuse the media you already bought for your own personal use.

Would Android have been nearly as successful if Google had licensed it under the GPL instead of the Apache License?
No, because then major vendors couldn't have done their gimping.
Yes. Major vendors could still have done their gimping, they would just have to open source it. They wouldn't particularly like it, but they'd deal with it.

this, not this >>60191774 although the points made are accurate
$1000 Surface laptop:
i5
4GB RAM
Flash storage
Aluminum Design
Gimped OS that only runs apps
High DPI screen
Better battery life
$300 Chromebook Pixel
i5
4GB
Flash storage
Aluminum Design
Gimped OS that only runs apps
High DPI touchscreen
Great speakers
Is it worth the 233% price increase?
The one with Gimped Os costs $180, Fake News!
Well, since the surface laptop runs Win10s.
It's pretty much just like the Chromebook in that regard. You can literally just install apps from the microsoft store... whatever that is. I mean NOBODY uses that fucking thing.
>>60191793
Both have gimped OS
>>60191793
It literally starts at $999 for the 10s version, where are you getting the $180 number from?
>gooey interface
>>60191700
look, if an old woman with a gun says "gooey interface" I'm not going to correct her. She's clearly unstable and I don't much feel like being shot again.

Is it possible to acces files stored on a normal windows pc by removing the hard-drive and pluging it into another pc via usb/sata connector, thus accesing it like a normal usb-device?
>>60191695
No, the files are encrypted with a device-specific master key. To access these files you need to desolder the north bridge and install it on your own motherboard.
>>60191708
Thats weird. I once did this with a few old win7 hard drives and it worked just fine. I found it hard to believe.
>>60191695
Yes it is.
>>60191708
kek, such drivel.
Have a bunch of services running on VMs and would like a UPS that will support them for at least an hour.
Ideal brand and/or model?

neck yourself homeserver faggot
The weak link is your internet connection. You gonna get 5 or 6 redundant lines with automatic failover? Oh, you didn't think about that? Lol
Cloud is a "fad" for a reason and it's not because of the Jews
>>60191701
Home cloud service would be fine with one high speed home internet line, and a secondary line of the cheapest available in your area to keep it running if your main one ever goes down. Automatic switching can be as easy as a $100 router with dual WAN ports and failover settings.
>use a trackball mouse for almost a year
>left click button starts double-clicking
>switch to a regular non-trackball mouse until I fix my trackball mouse
>hand gets tired after a few minutes of use, and I'm not as precise in using it as before
>tfw the relief I get when I can use my trackball mouse again
Why haven't you switched to a trackball mouse?
Because I don't need a mouse to use my computer
>>60191444
Just use a MarbleMouse.
probably will next time I break my mouse
is there any downside to trackball at all
Lets help our friends at Intel to find a way to put 32DIMM on 2P board.

Why don't you just buy a bigger SSD?

What's the best way to learn touch typing? Do I need to use a metronome to avoid bad habits? Can I strike the "6" key with left hand if it makes more sense to me or am I going to run into problems doing that?
Pic maybe related.
You must be 18 to post on this board.

How long until this becomes better than Nova Launcher?
Anyone else using it? I'm liking it so far and I don't have to pay to hide apps I don't use.
>>60191016
LibreLauncher fork when?
>>60191016
Never used it. How is it compared to Nova right now?
Just delete applications you don't use also fuck you
The best way to predict the future is to invent it. Join the next generation of computing, designed by dynamic futurist JEFF BATIO.
"dynamic futurist: This is a term I coined to represent someone who doesn't 'see' the future based on studying the trends being created by others, but instead is someone who helps to create the future by dynamically acting to create and make a better world for us all. Think of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs to name but a few." -Jeff Batio
