Does anyone know what year this imac is and what it's missing? Besides the screen and hard drive
I'm moving out of an apartment and I found it in the dumpster for my building, I just want the case so I don't care if doesn't work but if anyone knows that'd be awesome I've been looking at Google for awhile
Here's the back, someone painted over the serial number so I assume it was probably a fleet machine or something?
Looks like 2009-2011-ish
It doesn't seem to be missing anything. My guess is that the previous owner wanted to upgrade hard drive or RAM, took of the screen as seen on iFixit, broke it, panicked, removed hard drive because porn, threw it away.

Mimi is fucking up, so I can't view the whole picture now.
The silver imac started with the core2 duo, and I think this is one of those. These have a dedicated graphics card that likes to cook itself in that case. It could be missing. Not sure.
>MX Player, literally the best android player is on sale for only 10 cents.
What's your excuse anon?
>>60200060
I already bought it.

I don't own any "smart" device. Sony Ericsson integrated music player is best.

what does /g/ think about computer programmers who only scratch the surface of the machine? e.g. web developers who exclusively use html, css, javascript and maybe a little bit of a backend language (php, java, etc.) but not likely.
I personally hardly consider them real programmers, but it confuses me as the only lucrative internship opportunities I can find as a student are at basic bitch web dev. companies.
Where did CS go wrong?
>>60199983
You can say the same thing at every level of abstraction from machine code
>>60200026
Agreed. And I guess it makes sense that the easiest / outtermost layer of any given development stack will always have the largest audience. I just wish it wasn't this way.
I don't really care desu.
inverted motherboard that content we've stolen, all that some point below $300, AMD wins. Period. By a large margin, too. Because we care about anime I like it enough by a group of bytes)
i want to join a private trackers for example.

I dare you to make sense.

Stop kumikoposting
I checked 4archive, and consensus seems to be that ruggedized phones, cat s60 specifically, are not worth the shitty specs, if a person treats their phone well?

you bit off more than you can chew, homie. I'm a wrench and you should have slammed my shit tier pedals or the terrible install on the fenders (or using them at all)
>much less a ghastly pile of other jerry rigs on that ride
anyway:
1) the QR shit's done up correctly but quick release is foolish either way
2) those are tiny fucking gears and don't demand down shifting
3) lolwut
4) ?
5) needlessly packing around extra weight when not out and about
6) fucking klean kanteens how do they work
thanks for the bump, any contributions?

The level of mechanical incompetence at bike shops is an endless source of amazement to me.
You'd think if it was your job, you'd be good at it, and take pride in it, right? Except no. The business model is to make money on bikes and accessories and undercharge for labor, so you can only hire shit-tier mechanics, people who were going for Starbucks but woudln't have passed the criminal background check
Buying a workstand and a bunch of tools was the best thing I ever did, fuck bike shop "mechanics"

>Seagate BarraCuda 4TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive @99£
I got some money coming in and I can stretch my budget another 50£ if something more reliable/bigger comes around. Don't really care about speed just need more space on my computer. pic not related.
>>60199318
Usable amount of room, but 5400 is slow. Shop around. Get ssd or at least a 7200 hdd.
>>60199440
It's 4TB so it's obviously for media hoarding. 5400rpm is fine if he's not going to be muxing/indexing his movies, only watching them. It's even sorta fine if he is.
http://hdd.userbenchmark.com/Seagate-Barracuda-4TB-2016/Rating/3899
That's really not slow. It's faster than my old Caviar Black FAEX.
>>60199570
What I'm kinda worried about is that I like to have bdrips and shit like that. So I don't want something to freeze up and I have to wait for a while till it loads every 2 minutes

So after a few months of deliberating, checking requirements and using a live operating system to make sure everything was water tight I've not successfully moved to lubuntu.
I genuinely didn't realise how much simpler installing something from the terminal is, or how fucking easy everything would be, thanks guys. You're alright anons.

This is no laboratory.
>Copyright enforcement necessarily entails monitoring of all computer communications, and therefore the destruction of online privacy. (The threat of Deep Packet Inspection is not a strawman.)
>Copyright law criminalizes a large percentage of the population. (When everyone is technically a criminal, the government can use selective enforcement to punish its enemies.)
>Copyright law chills academic research. (Copyright is being used to prohibit not only for-profit distribution but also not-for-profit research.)
>Copyright law's reach already extends to many things, and is expanding with no end in sight. (Expansion is perpetual both in scope (originally only maps, charts, and books; now pretty much everything) and in duration (originally 28 years; now 95 years).)
>Copyright law creates a corporate information police, undermining accountability and due process. ($150,000 fine per work infringed; irresponsibly overzealous DMCA notices)
>Copyright law erodes the public domain and free culture. (The fair use exception is worthless.)
>Copyright law poses large economic costs to society. (How much does the entertainment industry spend on bribes to governments?)
>Copyright law prevents the Internet from fulfilling its promise. (Per-copy royalties make no sense when the cost of distribution is almost literally zero.)

no, there's a reason copyright laws exist. tho I agree sometimes they are retarded they are necessary.

You didn't address anything he posted.
I agree with the arguments in the OP.
Is it even possible to remove copyright considering the amount of money it makes?
