Based on my biased opinion it seems like DDR3 memory is starting to disappear from the market.

If i self taught myself C++ and have no certificates to back it up with, and maybe a small portfolio of bunch of 2D games, is there any way at all i can earn some pocket change?

And no, freelancer.org is not an option, whatever you can do, there are 5 indians who will do it at the minimal bidding price and they have a 5 star rating.

Bonus question: How do i know if i can do the job when all there is to describe it is "i need c++ coder fast" and i have 0 work experience in cpp (only personal projects)?

Coding skills are outsourcable and provide 0 employability points. Code as a hobby and get donations. Learn hardware and networking for a real job.

I detest both.

>Donations

How do you get donations as a programmer? I can imagine getting donations as an artist, making porn or whatever, but as a programmer?

hey guys newfa/g/ here, I finally decided I want to make the "big" switch from windows to linux, though i'm having a difficult time deciding on which one. People say as a beginner I shouldnt go straight into Arch so is there any similar distro that are newbie friendly?

When the cryptomarket bubble pops and prices plunge, should I go all in on BTC or ETH?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>60263509
BTC is the original, with the widest userbase, and likely the most staying power.
>>
>>60263509
Bitcoin has a history of recovering after a crash at even higher values.

ETH doesn't. But so far, ETH has yet to have a major crash.

I would invest in ETH now, but wait for BTC to crash before going all in.

wtf is going on with the quality of the HDDs lately. Why are they so unreliable ?
54 posts and 20 images submitted.
>>
>>60263426
There is less space on their so there is less chance of something going wrong.
>>
>>60263506
i understand that each sector is less dense but i can't justify such a high difference in quality.
>>
>>60263426

so? the hardest strain you can put on an hdd is the startup (spinup) (followed by head parking) not the "keep spinning and reading"

Is there an audible difference when listening to audio via a laptop with a DAC connected via USB (music is accessed from an external HDD), versus using a DAC with a DAP via USB (using the external playback function)?

Maybe I'm not phrasing my question well, but I was wondering if the sound would be worse from my 8 year old laptop because of a possible delay of accessing music from a folder on my external HDD as opposed to my DAP where the music is stored internally AKA faster access.
14 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>60263249
I dont see how that would worsen or improve sound quality.

If you are worried you could always add a buffer time to your stuff that way even if there is a delay from transfer it shouldnt impact you.

I have a 2ms buffer for DSD 128 myself.
>>
laptops tend to be huge noise generators and if your dac doesn't have properly designed isolation this noise can pass through dac. DAP is much simpler device and probably generate much less noise.
