I currently have a wd mycloud and I suppose I like it except for the slow file transfers when I transfer files from my external hard drive or computer to m,y wd mycloud, I also dont like the user interface software for the mobile app as its nothing like VLC, I also cant play video files directly from another network trying to connect to mycloud as I would have to download the desktop app then download.
Is there any personal cloud device that you guys recommend that is better than Western Development?

Me and my friend play MMO's together but whenever i go to her place to place i am unable to plug into her only ethernet port. this makes me have to use a shitty wireless network that makes the game unplayable.

You can't use an ordinary Ethernet patch cable to connect two computers together directly, you'd need a crossover cable for that.
Just buy a basic switch so you can use ordinary cables.

Just bought some new pic related 2x4 RAM to add alongside my two 2x4 Corsair RAM sticks, plugged them in, but the motherboard / system does not detect them at all. Motherboard supports only dual channel RAM, but that should have been fine.
I've never upgraded RAM before and I couldn't find anything but 'plug it in, it just werks' shit. Am I missing something? Am I retarded?

Why on Earth would you want one? You couldn't even play a 8K 60FPS video of a game being played on an average computer, much less play that game without four of the most powerful graphics cards on the market.
4K is still not a thing with computers, except for rich amerifags and it's been available for years.
