It's the final push to make me switch to GNU/Linux.
>>60362791
it's "linux" and "the linux compiler".
>>60362791
nobody is actually doing that
>download manjaro because i wanted a new distro
>install goes fine and it runs pretty smoothly except for some minor issues
>really like how fast and responsive it is. doesn't look like shit either
>decide to fix small issues here and there to make it even better
>try to turn off mouse accelaration. doesnt work
>2 hours of reading and trying different things os freezes
>manually restart it and try to log in cant
>stuck on a fucking login loop. i enter correct password but it won't let me in
>start searching for solutions online. apparently this is a somewhat common issue
>rage quit after a couple of hours of trying to fix it and boot into windows
i thought i finally found a distro that i liked but i cant even use if for a single day without having problems. this is probably just a simple issue to more experienced people but its hard for me. mfw i try my best and still fail.
why am i so stupid?
let me guess you got memed by an idiot on /wg/
>>60362713
i would suggest antergos w/ cinnamon unless you think that looks like shit then prepare to troubleshoot KDE bugs or get a decent XFCE look going.
if you dont care about bleeding edge then download like elementary os or something?
don't use rolling release distros
they are made of glass.

No thanks anon, I'll stick with my windows 7. Have to use windows 10 at uni and it's the most insulting and awful thing ever.

Is there a way to know which linux OS does my computer support?
I'm still using Windows XP so I don't know to which one should I upgrade
XP is comfy. Especially the Zune theme for it. Why switch?
>>60362427
look for the lightest linux distros. Pick any of those, if those dont work, then the rest wont either

I would have probably slaughtered the user for their sheer stupidity, we've made a huge deal about spam / junk e-mails for the last year at the very least. All I would have had to do was recreate their user profile and it would have automatically downloaded their user folders from a back up, but I don't have the patience for it.
This thread is for the discussion of nyaa.pantsu.cat, a replacement for the late nyaa.se
FAQ
>https://pastebin.com/Gq9MrJN5
>"Why is Pantsu down right now?"
Sometimes because it is getting gang-raped by the entire Jap web traffic (10x times more than USA), but this is now rare thanks to migration to another server.
Most likely they are deploying changes, wait for a bit and refresh the page.

>Cartel alternative launched. It's a botnet. HS is siding with them. HS stuff will eventually find its way on Pantsu.

I don't know if I just got lucky or what.
I disabled Windows updates a year ago when I was scared about 7 automatically upgrading to 10. I heard about all the hubbub today and did all the security updates IMMEDIATELY (after unplugging my computer from the network and backing up everything) and everything is peachy now.

Meant to come out this quarter. Intel released their Skylake server chips recently, but very quietly because they didn't want to draw too much attention to how fucking trash they are in comparison to upcoming Naples.
