Why is MacBook so much better for students compared to other laptops?

Young people are easily affected by peer pressure. Especially non-STEM brainlets.

Yeah I noticed this and posted about it in the I/O thread.

If you are using older hardware, your only alternative is to use a media player and open the URL inside of it.
At least THAT will have proper hardware acceleration unlike HTML5 in most browsers.

I have found this senseful.

-there is no practical limit to how many layers of tunnels can be built, so any level of traffic can be addressed.
-tunnels are weatherproof.
- tunnel construction/operation is silent to anyone on the surface.
- tunnels don’t divide communities with lanes and barriers.

What do you think?

Let's discuss.

I think too much BS about how they think they will change everything and how it will be so much cheaper with those obvious x*y*z fold improvements.

They should just build their better automated electrical TBM if they can. Or bring the will to pay about as much as what safe tunnels currently cost.

What browser do you use and why? What's the shittiest browser? Why are the other user's browsers shitty?

I'll start: I use Opera, because I like how it looks and the flow of using the UI, as well as the fact that it is fast and has low-ish ram usage compared to some other bloated browsers. I dislike Firefox because it can be a real pain in the ass and slow sometimes and Chrome throws up certificate errors in the ass when I'm on work wifi and the only way to avoid it is starting through terminal.

Rephrasing the Firefox comment, I mean the UI can be slow & tabs don't always close right away for some fucking reason
>>
>>60448830
Opera because everything else is either too bloated or too slow.
And Edge just sucks donkey dicks as always. You can't even adjust the browser volume for fucks sake.

>First of all, it’s surprising that AMD isn’t comparing their Vega Frontier Edition to the Quadro P6000. The Quadro P6000 is essentially the same specifications as the Titan Xp but configured for the Professional market. The AMD Radeon Vega Frontier edition aims the same professional market but due to some reasons, AMD decided to pit it up against a NVIDIA enthusiast gaming solution. There’s a difference of drivers on both NVIDIA Quadro P6000 and Titan Xp cards. The Quadro series drivers are specifically designed to handle pro workloads which AMD has also optimized their drivers for the Frontier Edition card as it’s not a gaming focused product.

>If we take a look at some benchmarks posted by PCPerspective a while ago, the Quadro P5000 (a GTX 1080 equivalent card) manages to score 152.92 in Catia. Vega scores 135.75 in comparison which is near the P4000, that is a cut down GP104 SKU. In Solidworks test, the Quadro P5000 scores 168.11 versus 114.88 on Vega. The score is even lower than Quadro P2000 which is based on a cut down GP106 die.

>As you can see, the Quadro cards have the best optimization on pro workloads so AMD once again picked the best case scenario for them by comparing their best pro card to NVIDIA’s best non-quadro card

Sadly, Vega will never beat Pascal

I'm running Ubuntu with unity. I've heard that KDE is faster and less resource intensive. If I install KDE alongside unity and log in to KDE at the startup screen will I get the same advantages?
Also is KDE really faster? By how much?

If your computer is less than 10 years old it doesn't matter. Use whatever interface you like better.

KDE uses more resources than Unity. It's more customizable though.

Gnome with right extensions is superior to both.
>>
>>60445881
I'm using gnome, but am not really a huge fan. What extensions are you talking about ?
