Why is rails so fucking difficult to set up on anything that isn't a fucking mac?

It's not particularly difficult to set up on linux, since everybody has ubuntu guides because pretty much everybody who uses rails deploys to AWS, Heroku or Engine Yard.

And why is the answer gaming?

I just tried out KDE Neon again, I was genuinely impressed you guys. It worked like a charm, fast, responsive. Can be customized to the last detail, if you don't like something. Hadn't had a crash at all (which used to be an issue for me)

If I could game on Linux I'd totally ditch my windows 7 for it. I'm definitely a fan.

poettering - Will close this now, as this is weird kernel behaviour and either the distros or the kernel should just stop doing this...

poettering - Creating a bond device just because the module is loaded is almost always a bad idea, and just a historical left-over.

poettering - on fedora "modprobe bonding" results in a device being creating too... meh...

Do people actually use unity?

For sure. Most people don't give a shit what their desktop looks like and just want to get shit done.
>>
>>60553204
Yeah, because they don't spend their time hanging around DE extremist forums like /g/.

Anyways, probably not in the future because of Canonical just not giving a shit about Unity. I doubt people will actually use Yunit when those idiots are struggling to pick a logo without going on an autistic rant.

Good news guys

Windows Defender has been successfully ported to Linux. Now we can ensure we keep our systems free of malware

https://github.com/taviso/loadlibrary

>This project does not replace Wine or Winelib.

>Winelib is used to port Windows C++ projects to Linux, and Wine is intended to run full Windows applications. This project is intended to allow native Linux code to load simple Windows DLLs.

It's easy man. Just imagine coding as writing a recipe for baking a cake. The instructions run from top to bottom. Now imagine you have to learn new words and syntax to describe how to carry out the instructions. Simples.
