Is there anyway to get this to work with youtube-dl like mpv?

Why not using mpv?
Do you know its maintainers said they don't develop it anymore?
>>
>>60631518
Yes! First step is installing mpv
>>
>>60631518
pacman -S mpv

I've been using ratpoison since 2009 on *nix setups, and every time I try a new WM or DE, I always end up going back to ratpoison.

I originally used it because I needed a minimal WM for an arcade box (never had tried tiling WMs before), and I liked it so much I just stuck with it.

I've tried other tiling WMs and couldn't really get into them, I prefer the simple "manual" tiling of ratpoison. Maybe I could configure a more modern WM to operate similarly to ratpoison, but I'm too lazy to figure it out (I mostly just use the defaults).

Does anyone else here use Ratpoison?

>>
nice blog post faggot, if you're gonna be a retarded tiling WM hipster use i3/awesome/sway
>>
i3 seemed good, I'm just too lazy/retarded to learn a new setup. I've been looking for something with a similar workflow (i.e. like screen/tmux) to ratpoison and I'm not sure i3 fits the bill.

StumpWM looked very similar to Ratpoison but I'm not sure how supported it is.

I just wrote my own shitty Window Manager.
Although it was under Windows.
I wrote it in Autohotkey to boot!
Triple fail.

But it works better than fannying around with fucking window positions, and dealing with shitty windows that have cascade-by-default set rather than saving position.
I slapped it under a bunch of hotkeys.
Altgr + [left/right: win, shift, ctrl] + \
Shifts do horizontal tiling.
Win does vertical tiling.
Ctrls do special positions, left usually being some specific position on the "left" side of the screen, and the right being a "sidebar" window.
Just doing it altgr+\ does fullscreen. (sans the sidebar coords if sidebar is open)
It bugged out sometimes, but I never bothered fixing it since it worked 99% of the time.
They aren't so much bugs, more annoyances.
Like issues with holding down altgr and switching the middle key.
Might rewrite it one day in a not-shitty language. AHK is fucking terrible.

The sidebar was usually for whenever I was doing projects that required working with a bunch of files and tools open at once but they never took up much visual space.
So I wrote some simple positions for these tools in a virtual sidebar.
Usually either a help file, a image browser, a video and such.
I usually remove the chrome of a sidebar window to make it even roomier for content.
Only like 16~px, but still!
These positions were very manual, however. Not automated.
I was considering making them automated stacking. Never cared to write it.

From 1 to 10 how scared is Intel right now?

In the next decade most PC's will be basically phones with big displays, and Intel doesn't have anything to compete with it.

Intel is sitting on ungodly amounts of capital and they spend all of AMD's yearly operating budget on petty outreach stuff like girls in tech and tranny bathroom politics.

Why did they never adopt ARM?

Recently got my Omega2 arduino kit. It's alright. Everything seems a bit on the cheaper end (like only getting 20 fucking m-m jumpers and piss all resisters https://docs.onion.io/omega2-arduino-dock-starter-kit/index.html#whats-included). Did all the tutorials they offered ( https://docs.onion.io/omega2-arduino-dock-starter-kit/experiments.html ). I've got 2 DC motors but both either don't turn on at all, turn on and work fine when connected directly to the power, restart the entire device, or don't work when powered through, say, a button or something (It's completely random what they do). I don't have the PWM expansion ( https://onion.io/store/servo-pwm-expansion/ ). My aim is to learn how to create my own RC cars and from there move on to more technical stuff like manual transmission and so on. I'm also looking for a program that can feed constant inputs to a remote server while at the same time having configurable GUI. If this isn't possible, any tips on how to get about writing something like this would be great. I understand this is a very long stretch for the time being.

Anyone got any tips on what to read up on to help me out? Tips on what I'm doing wrong? Help without the condescension would be very much appreciated.

You could use the matlab interface creating a GUI and running in real time (maybe over xbee if you want to don't wireless) over Simulink. I'm controlling a golf cart for my uni thesis running everything in matlab and using the arduino as an interface. Also (this running in win10) i create a GUI using an raspi 2b (running win10 core) connected to a screen to get info over the cart.
Maybe there is another way but that it's whats been working for me.

>dc motors being erratic
What are you connecting to power them? I'm ok with motors.

>pwm
You can do this with any pin really to check it works, although without the pwm expansion you'll be eating cpu time. Not much of an issue since the cpu is fairly capable.

Can't really help with the other part although like this anon >>60678755 says matlab can do it. I never used it for a gui so idk.
