Make one like your perma-virgin idol Terry Davis LOL
researching for a novel - need help with technical details of a live tv hack (broadcast signal intrusion). If you were going to hack a channel like ESPN during a live telecast, where would you start?
I would start by using cd code
I mean, cd..
No, cd..
cd..
cd ..
ls maybe
cd code
cd ..
fuck this shit

Social engineering. It's always social engineering, anon.
>>60682660
1.find info on frequencies, modulation and encoding schemes used
2.get appropriate transmitter and (can get on alibaba)
3.position antenna so that your signal overpowers the legit one at target receiver
You'd only cover an area that's far enough from the legit transmitter though.
Studios and news companies are usually connected to main transmitter towers via microwave or optic fiber links. Hijacking those is incredibly hard and they'd be cut off in seconds if hijacking is detected.
Have you installed Windows 10 like a good goy today?

Duh. I don't have the privilege of being a NEET linux user.

the drive is not dead yet.
I have not noticed any errors or weird behavior, no clicking noises.
But SMART tells me there are reallocated sectors and some read errors.
I just want to know if need to clone the drive or could I just "move to" new drive.

This thread is for the discussion of NyaaPantsu (nyaa.pantsu.cat), a free (FOSS) torrent indexer.
The aim of this project is to write a fully featured nyaa.se replacement in golang that anyone will be able to deploy locally or remotely.
FAQ
>https://pastebin.com/Gq9MrJN5
>Why is Pantsu down/error 502?
Most likely because the team is deploying changes. Wait for a bit and refresh the page. It should be mostly stable now.

Can /g/ recommend a good seedbox service for deploying torrents? I am planning on creating an alternative to HS after all of that drama. Also, I would really appreciate if PantsuDev can explain the pic related.
To me the iPod Shuffle 2nd generation is the absolute best music player on the go. I had the latest shuffle but it's just not as sturdy. It doesn't easily clip to all clothes/surfaces because its smaller.
Are there any proper alternatives? I absolutely hate the Sansa Clip line. The big plus of the shuffle is that you can easily click through your clothes without having to look at the device.

For the individual? Of course it. What you have to remember is that the silk roads existence was a complete miscarry by the feds, not to mention he was dealing internationally.
He knew what he was getting into.
He could have gotten off easy if he wasn't acting like a drug lord in every sense of the word.
What kind of laptop do you have?
Do you like it?
Pic related is a dell m3800. Thinking of getting one of these or a thinkpad workstation. Haven't decided yet

Asus N56VZ and x220 owner.
Using X220 all the time, cause It's fucking powerful on-the-go solution that I don't have to care too much about.
>>60681862
>x220
sounds about right
How's the asus? Everyone I know with one has expressed dissatisfaction with the build quality.
Whats a good 1080p entry level laptop? I just need it for the most basic shit and prefer integrated graphics.

how do I increase the chances that I get a good job out of college when the market is so vicious and dog-eat-dog as it is?
I'm trying to get a job related to my field (Substitute IT Technician with my local school board) so I'll at least have something on my resume, but even now I'm not sure that's gonna be enough
Specialize or aim to work in industries underserved by qualified tech experience.

Pretty much every industry that isn't hip or in the B2C space

hilarious that people still buy things off of massdrop
you can get the same price or cheaper elsewhere, or even just amazon, 99% of the time, plus you can actually ship it immediately and not have to wait for the drop to end and then sit around while they pick the slowest shipping method

I study psychology and have had a love for computers for a long time. I've been studying programming on my own for about one year now.
I'm not happy with psychology, so I'm thinking on changing to CS.
Is it worth it? Or does learning it all on your own do it?
